You know what's been bothering me lately?

I know all you kids love mixing your fluids, and sometimes that makes offspring happen. Some of you don't believe in birth control; others just think you're ready. It doesn't matter to me one bit either way: I don't want to see pictures of your baby.

It seems everyday that I log into Facebook there is yet another 20-something-year-old child that went to my high school posting picture proof of their gravely irresponsible decision to raise a child of their own with their unfaithful boyfriend who works at McDonald's. (Or sometimes they work behind McDonald's selling weed.)

It's not that I don't like you, or that I don't like kids. It's that I don't think you are responsible enough to have them. However, what's done is done, and now that you have it, unless you're going to put it up for adoption, you may as well accept it and love it. But I don't have to accept or love it; it wasn't my idea. So please: Stop posting pictures of your wrinkly little freaks. I know that you love them just as much as that puppy that you killed last year because it pooped everywhere so you stopped feeding it as punishment.

I have a good friend who has two kids. She's a young mom, too. Somehow she got pregnant while on birth control, and by the time she realized what was happening it was too late. Afterwards, she went on a much stronger form of birth control (monthly or semi-monthly shots - I'm not sure which), but due to a hormonal imbalance that would later be acknowledged by her doctors, that did not work either, and she had another child. She didn't intend to have kids as young as she did, but she's a great mom. So I know that it can be done... I would be a little less concerned if everyone I see that's just having kids now wasn't a complete screw up or that drunk girl at the party that we had to pull away from the fire as she was trying to dance her way into it while simultaneously undressing.

P.S. Please use a different approach for potty training this time or I will have to alert the authorities. The puppy was cruel enough.

Edit: I'm definitely being an asshole here; there is no need to tell me such things. I also acknowledge that a picture of your baby on Facebook is a relatively normal and expected thing. Just try to keep it sane, please. No one needs to see you dress up a 3-day-old infant in the same kind of garbage you subjected your dog to every Halloween.

You've definitely got that right. Some of us young mothers/fathers actually made the choice to become parents and some of us are actually doing a good job at it.

TotalBiscuit: I think Simon's qualified to do that!

*The villager drops dead from the bees*

That's because, for humans, natural selection isn't allowed to take place in modern countries.

On the subject of the topic, while I find hordes of baby pictures annoying - which does frequently happen - everyone I know who does this, possibly baring one, had planned pregnancies and ALL of them are great mothers. Protip: You can block their posts.

EDIT: Do note that when I say hordes, I don't mean the odd one or two pictures, I mean a wall full of them.

I like the use of second person here. I mean here specifically, JuL, a place which is quite noticeably not Facebook.

It really puts me in my place as a person completely unrelated to your complaint.

ALTHOUGH this is the first time in a long while that anyone has suggested that I mix fluids with other people on the same forum, a suggestion I'm much more willing to take to heart now that I'm of age?????

Look I forgot what my transition into this was going to be but let me just get this part across before you go.

I'm going to carve your name into my blood.

... And here I was thinking I was a terrible person for thinking that people who post nonsensical out-of-context statements that no one really gives a shit about ("blah blah my boyfriend blah smile blah blah eyes blah look at me") should really either stop using Facebook/Twitter as a diary or just get the fuck off the internet.

It seems like "maintaining singularity" would be the opposite of time cube, with its focus on dualism.

What why am I even trying to make sense of this

I thought Time Cube was focused on the number four (despite cubes having six sides).

But if you think for a moment (this is difficult for the educated stupid, they repeat their stupid teacher's' ideas in replacement as thinking) you will realize that the Time Cube is most concerned with the Perfect Zero (although in its purest form it is also four as the numbers on the clock of the day show that four and zero fall on the same day.)

whelp, now I hate myself. game over.

welcome to the real world, where people's interests don't necessarily reflect yours

i wouldn't jump to the conclusion that having a child is irresponsible--the parents may very well be ready and willing to take one on. you don't really have much of a place generalizing that badly.

also, a kid's kind of a big deal, especially to his/her parents. i'm not sure if you're just overly insecure or bitter or jealous, but you honestly have no idea how happy parents get because of their newborn children

i don't care that you acknowledge you're being an asshole--that kind of pointless rant is the same kind of elitist bullshit i did back in my freshman and sophomore year of high school

lighten up, bro
