So I made it back to Puerto Rico last night ... oh god the heat.

It was 11pm and the temperature was 80F outside, upon leaving the airport, I saw my mom wearing what appeared to be a light jacket. I asked her why in the world and she said "It's a little chilly out here," and I knew I was back home.

It doesn't feel quite as bad now (I guess I got used to it already!) but the mugginess is annoying. I found it hard to fall asleep last night due to the noise of wildlife out there ... owls, roosters, other birds, etc... In fact, they woke me up at 3am and I had to shut the windows because I couldn't fall asleep otherwise....

Now there's lame music playing outside, I have terrible internet speeds, and every person I didn't care about much is asking for computer help.

80°F is "a little chilly"? Someone obviously somes from a warm climate

For a while, I lived somewhere that had a nest of birds or something right outside the window to my bedroom. They'd wake me up with their chirping at like 5 AM.

Oh god it's already Saturday. I gotta fix my internal sleeping clock before school resumes. Which means I only have tonight to sleep early.
And my pain does not make that easy. My parent does not make that easy, but hey, oh well.

It's still sunny outside, and it's making me go "what the hell". I'm too used to cold and rain and frost, but not a cheerful sun with blue sky grinning upon me.

Today, the subway here celebrated its first year anniversary of being here. They gave out prizes and cake to early people, and later people could buy 2 for the price of one. It was surreal.

I like it when candy comes in yellow, purple, orange, blue, red and green because I have this weird thing where I enjoy eating candies with their complementary color.

Huh. All I care is that the candy I am eating is made out of copious amounts of dark chocolate. :p

With skittles and M&M's, I usually leave one of each color for last, then eat them all at once!
Even though there's no point with M&Ms...

I know I totally love how there's no blue to pair with the orange.

Now I remember why I hate laptops. The stupid trackpads that I can never get to do what I want them to do.

And yet I want a laptop for college! :specialed:

Ironically, I asked for a mouse when I first asked to borrow a library laptop, then didn't think much of it when I didn't, because I thought I was being too quiet anyway and that I was demonizing trackpads.

WHOOPS GUESS I WAS WRONG

And my college applications are complete! The wait now begins. I should be getting my first reply within two weeks, and the others around mid May.

Hopefully I'll get into my #1 choice: Georgetown University!

Thank you, Peardian!

I just received an email from Georgetown University! A month after the deadline passed they sent me an email saying they want to interview me! I'm not too bad at interviews, but I am now freaking out a tad because I must really do well, because I really want to get in. Grades-wise I'm doing well (3.94 in college and 3.96 in HS, top 10%), and I think my essays were pretty good (after going through 13 drafts (no kidding)) ... but my SATs were far below average for them ... I think if I get in I'd be around the bottom 10%

So whether I get in boils down to how much all these other good things outweigh the bad SATs.

Georgetown is one of those need-blind full-need colleges, so if I get in, I'm all but guaranteed to be able to afford it.

And today is INTERVIEW DAY. I'm getting a little bit more nervous but it's still nothing too bad. After all, the questions are about me, I know the answers to all of the questions.

I'm more concerned about what to order at Starbucks (where the interview will take place), since I don't drink coffee and I've only been to one once, and I don't remember what I got. I think it was hot chocolate or something..

Edit: Ooh, 15000th reply.

Edit 2: Interview DONE. How I think it went: 10/10. I absolutely believe that it couldn't have gone any better. It felt like a conversation with a friend and flowed as nice as it possibly could have.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
