So basicly, If the game's anti-piracy detects there been a change in the .exe made by a third-party it does four things:

1. Sets loose a very fast PINK mini-scorpion that has infinite health right after you get the pistol in the first level. This thing follows you and attacks you until you somehow reach the museum. If you turn cheats on to kill all the monsters near you, It will just come back,.

2. In level 5, Heading under the highway with a modified .exe causes The DRM to make you look up and start spinning. Supposedly, It also raises the damage.

3. Causes the game to crash during the ending every time.

4. Causes the game to crash every 5 minutes.

I'm working on seeing if there any unused content. I'm only aware of the super armor item that was cut.

I had one (1) message in Discord deleted and proceeded to make a huge, huge mess about how it was a violation of free speech and how moderators are supposed to be spam janitors and nobody should have the right to tell me not to talk about school shootings

I always found these "deter piracy by making the game break/crash" methods amusing. How many people are just going to assume they're bugs, and tell their friends not to bother buying a game with such severe issues?

While not necessarily game related, I know of a software synth that did that. If it detected it was cracked, the GUI would slowly dissolve and become unusable. More amusing was how many people emailed the developer about this bug, and how many more actually posted on the KVR forums, an audio enthusiast site, about it!

Aye, nothing says weeding them out like that.

Paulguy's Post configuration
Garry's Mod would randomly crash if it was detected it was cracked. It would spit out some "error code" that ended up being the user's numeric Steam ID.

There's quite a few leftover strings from SSHD: TSE hidden in the English localization files as well.

I'm not expecting much more than the scrapped Super Armor item in SS3. It's development time was pretty quick, and it seems that all of the pre-release stuff in screenshots and the like are just different skins for models instead of something like removed enemies.

EDIT: The models folder also has some models that were originally made for a demonstration level or two that Croteam made of the engine back in the middle of 2010. Not sure if these models are actually used because the areas they could appear in, the city levels, make my PC chug if i browse them for an extended period in the editor.

I found some icons for a 360 version (The 360 version is still in development) and some textures called "TempleGDC" In Textures/Reflections

I recall finding a sound file in one of the archives that was one of Sam's quips before it had been digitally processed. I think there were some near final versions (volume not equalized right etc.) versions of the Sam voices too.

EDIT: Created a wiki page with all my findings as well as the antipiracy stuff.

The alt attribute should be used to give a short description
of an image; longer descriptions should be given with the
longdesc attribute which takes a URL linked to the description.
These measures are needed for people using non-graphical browsers.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
