| If you're a Sega / NiGHTS fan, then here's a treat. This segment originated from an episode of Sega Video Magazine (a Japanese VHS series that presented old Sega games back in the mid-1990s), and it features the initial unveiling of NiGHTS at the Japanese Tokyo Prince Hotel way back in March 26, 1996; followed by an old, rare interview with Yuji Naka, Naoto Oshima, and Takashi Iizuka. Also included in the segment are footage of the game's early stages of development, including a different stage layout for Spring Valley. Many of the sound effects that you can hear are also very different, and even the music sounds unrefined! Such elements are highlighted in the video though annotations. There has been no translation for this interview yet, so unless you speak Japanese its a guess of what they're saying. Once again, it another video from this particular source. Nico Nico Douga is quite the treasure chest of Japanese gaming history, desuka. |
