I looked on the Wiki and noticed that there was no GBA Sonic games at all. Thats quite weird. I might search them myself if you want. I've been digging in Sonic Battle Today anyway. If you make the Battle Records go further than usual you get words like Hr,Min and KO, must be references of some sort as there is no value next to them. Also, if you change your character into eggman he only has moves for A + B but if you press R he'll say 'Take this', maybe he had another attack planned.

I noticed that a Page has been made for SA2, thats good. Strange SA1 doesn't or are Sega Masters of Destroying unused stuff in their games.

Please don't bump your own posts just because nobody has replied to them. It's annoying and unnecessary.

Sometimes it takes longer for some games to show up on the wiki than others. Just because we don't have a page for a game doesn't mean it has no hidden content; we just haven't gotten around to finding/adding it yet.

I'll Say Sorry again then. It was a surprise though thinking that all other Sonic games have pages and the Sonic Advance series were popular games. I've got myself the Sonic Advance 3 Beta though so i may be able to find something good enough to make a new page myself.

Bringing this back for a Good reason. In Sonic Advance the Chao can say: "Get a new battery or i'm a goner". As you can tell this only shows with a dead battery so it probably hasn't been seen much. Is that wiki material?

I would also like to Ask if anyone Knows what this is:

This Appears in the Sonic Advance 2 Rom also except the 'E' in 'ADVANCE' is a 2 instead. Also note that a it might be slightly wrong and '#' are Unknown values.

I played the with my Chao on Sonic Advance for so many, many hours. They just say that at random, it has nothing to do with battery levels.

Don't know what most of that is, but it is very common for a game's rom or save file to have the game's name hidden away in it.

They can, in fact all GBA pokemon games check the battery since its needed to run time-based events in-game. the Battery Dead status is a side-effect using an emulator without emulating one. I'm sure you know that savegames and other data is sometimes stored on the battery and a dead battery would mean the data couldn't save. I've only ever seen this whilst playing on the emulator. If someone without a dead battery (a real GBA perhaps) could prove me wrong then i'll give up with the idea.

That's the cartridge's internal battery, not the GBA battery. It wouldn't make sense for them to refer to that, since it's not replaceable or rechargeable, is intended to last for years, and they can't really check it beyond "dead" (clock stopped) or "not dead" (clock running).

Does this game even use a clock? If not, it'd have no need for such a battery...

I believe it might be used for the sleep function to temporarily store the data, that is not that important though. I'd still need proof that it isn't. Just saying its random is not right. Just because it's mixed with the usual messages does not make it 100% random.

Prove me wrong or i won't change my mind. 'Its Random' is just an excuse to not check it and as i said i've been on chao garden for ages and that message only appeared on the the emulator which i know has no 'battery'.

I think MultiSio refers to the GBA's multiboot capabilities, for single-cartridge multiplayer. I've never tried it, but according to some quick searching, at least Sonic Advance and SAdv2 support exactly that. Maybe that's the beginning of the multiboot ROM's header or something?

That's not how the sleep function works. It just keeps the stuff in memory and the GBA itself in a sleep low consumption mode, pretty much like when you close the DS. Plenty other games had it.

Also you know you can set in VBA the internal clock emulation to on or off, right? Though still as Rena said it doesn't make sense to refer to that.
'Its Random' is just an excuse to not check it
We think it might be random because GBA games don't check the system's battery, so it simply can't possibly refer to it. Maybe there are other in-game things to trigger it, or it could even be a bizarre version difference, or whatever wild speculation you'd be willing to research into... But in any case it shouldn't work differently on emulator than on console.

SEGA aren't even close to masters of destroying all unused content. Even for SA1, I found an unused warp out to the Past Mystic Ruins with Knuckles and Emerald Coast (so many, many years ago.)

Had I the ability to take screens, you'd bet I would.

Oh, and let me see-- Hidden palace's layout and Wood Zone's palette? Yep. The red sphere thingamajiggers (system test?) in Sonic 3? Yep.

I'm just pretty sure there isn't much unused in the Advance series ^^;

First, you misquoted that out of context. Second, prove you wrong? In at least 30 hours of play time it appeared once or twice. Never played it on an emulator. So am I supposed to just sit there with a camera and wait for it to decide to give me the message? I was just telling you what I know. Take it or leave it.

EDIT: Damn, now you got me wanting to check the game out in an emulator.

If TMB says he saw the message a few times on a real cartridge with a (presumably) working battery, then either accept it and move on, or disassemble the game yourself and figure out exactly why it appears. Most of us have better things to do with our time.
