There seems to be a nice variety in terms of the structure of the level, and you really do have the player going all over. Problems I see, however, would be that the stars all seem ridiculously easy to get (they just require you to move from point A to point B), some sections seem to be a bit sparse in enemies, and the level on the whole can feel a bit empty at times. I'd also say ditch the grass textures on top of the stone, as that looks quite odd, in my opinion. I think visibility would increase if the stone platforms intended to be used as steps were a bit darker or something, so you can more easily see that they're three-dimensional. Hope you know what I mean with that last bit.
Anyway, I do like it, but I just feel it could still use a bit of work. Still I think it's great for a first level!
Thanks for the feedback, the only easy stars are the first two. The others are much more difficult... I have not quite finished textureing yet
