Well, most importantly, I moved to the US this summer, and is now studying Communication (temporarily - planning on a major in Journalism) at the University of North Dakota.

Other than that, I'm pretty much still the same lazy fuck who never does anything remotely interesting I've always been. Yay.

Oh, and I'm posting at an internet message board at 3:30 AM. That's the sign of a real winner

I usually lurk this board late at night, hence why you see my response. Primarily I am busy coding PHP and doing College myself, getting hordes of As and stuff. I tried to intervene in the Board2 issue, but naturally nobody would hear of it, and they claim I am a mindless Xk worshipper. Neatly neglecting the fact I have my own community and will soon be running my own board. Could have saved theirs, but... that's that. I also tried to aid SMBHQ, however the local webmaster decided that he would never attempt a compromise or anything, so that's done for too... All the more PHP for my own projects, heh heh heh. ____________________

As Acmlmboard in general was doomed, at times I think we should be thankful for the transition. The reason they kept morphing into idiot dens was because they lost their purpose--and thus, so did the posts made there. ...Of course, it makes me wonder what purpose the non-hacking posts have here. ??? ____________________

I really wanted to help fix things too. But it didn't achieve much since few people were interested. Tend to lurk more now. ROM hacking was tedious, and maintaining websites kind of is also. Maybe I'll get a second wind once I find an incredibly reliable free host so my projects aren't on various servers. (Points toward broken images in post layout) ____________________

I remember you mentioning how much you hated the military service you were stuck in (kitchen work in some frozen-as-hell place in the middle of fucking nowhere, as far as I remember). Or was that somebody else?... if it was you, good to hear you got out of there, and I hope the US works out for you.

Aside from that, uh, yeah. Not much has been going on. We've had our own share of head-desking (we got hacked recently and had to rewind half a month, ouch), but aside from that, everything here is going rather smoothly.

So, nice to see you stop by, and if you have any problems or anything, feel free to talk to me.

(By the way, that goes for everyone. If you have any problems, feel free. Sometimes, asking personally can go further than most ideas.)

That was me, yes, but it's been almost 2 years since I got out of that.
I got out early 2006, lived off welfare for half a year or so until I started attending the American College of Norway, a sub-branch of the University of North Dakota where Norwegian students can do a state-financed freshman year before moving to the US and continuing their education there (the Norwegian state does not provide financial support for Norwegians studying in the US unless they're sophomores or higher, so said school is a way around that. The downside, of course, is that they only offer 5 classes per semester). After completing my freshman year there, I travelled to the US as planned and continued my education there.

Dorito: No, but I modded the Story forum (back when I was one of the top posters on the board... damn, that's long ago) and General gaming from around... uh, 2001 or so, I think... up until the ||board takeover. Of course, that didn't mean I did a whole lot - not only were those two subfora rather free of crap that needed modding, but there were roughly 50 mods runnin around at the time, so the chances of someone getting to the stupid before I could see it was rather large

I had power, though. Yay.

We had what, 5 or 6 different, neverending stories running at the same time, all set at different points in the same timeline, starring the same characters and constantly cross-referencing each other? Nowadays I can't even participate in a single RPG without losing interest after a few weeks

Said SF days (well - to a cetain extent) are actually in the process of being turned into an online comic strip as we speak, written, but not drawn by me, as I can't draw worth crap. Writing scripts for the strip is actually what made me drop by the board again to see how it was doing.
