Guess who's sick with the flu today, guys!

Yeah, this hasn't been fun at all. I've been barfing my brains out for the last eight hours now.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I rarely throw up. Last time I threw up was because I was hung over earlier this year, and before that I was like 12.

I especially hated it this morning because every time, my body would try to vomit so hard that I felt like my lungs were going to plop into the toilet.

I don't always barf, but when I do, it's really, really, really friggin' violent.

I remain untouched by any colds so far, knock wood.

My flu vaccine most likely helped prevent a number of those horrifying stomach flus.

I never get flu shots or any 'preparative' medical measures against illness. While I get sick at least once a year from non-related-to-bad-cooking of my mother's it usually hits hard for a couple weeks and is gone after.
Like my immune system goes on natural vacation then comes back with the force of crashing stars.

I'm probably going to consider getting flu shots after this year. Granted, last time I got the flu was back sometime in...I wanna say 2008, so I can usually sneak away from getting it most years.

By the way, does anyone know how long I should wait, technically, before going back to work? I'm considering going back to work tomorrow if I feel well enough.

If you can afford it financially, take another day off. I went to work the first day after violently purging my stomach contents repeatedly a couple weeks ago. That was a terrible idea. Felt absolutely horrendous. Five hours of standing around with the feeling of impending gastrointestinal failure.

The only time I decided to get a flu shot happened to be around the time of the swine flu scare. The school was offering the vaccinations for free, so I decided that, even though I knew the whole thing was overblown and such, would rather have the vaccine anyway just in case, and that whatever risks involved were far outweigh by the benefits.

I got my first one during the Swine Flu scare too--but after realizing how handy it had been, and how hideously sick I had been the previous year... I just realized it was a good thing and stocked up on some more shots.

They've done quite well. People have been hideously sick with things like Whooping Cough and stuff, and I just sort of have a force field around me now. Haven't been sick in quite a while--there was a cold 3ish months ago, but it was so minor it went away after four days.

I guess this winter is bad for me in terms of health... First, a week-long flu that basically made me stay in bed and when I recovered a lot, ka-blam, I get hit with some bad bronchitis that required an ER visit.

... I haven't even gotten sick since I was like, 9. I haven't even gotten a flu shot in my life since I was just a wee baby. My immune system is usually really strong, as per genetics, but I guess it was more weak than I thought this time.

Yay for diseases.

Geez Snowdeath, that's not really good luck at all. D:

I can honestly say that, thankfully, my flu is just about gone. I just have a sore throat (from all the vomiting) and a severely reduced appetite, but other than that I feel fine.

Yay for a quick recovery!

Oh well. Here's to theraflu!

A nice warm chicken soup and plenty of rest would help you with your cold. I am sure other members here at http://www.rustedlogic.net would recommend the same.

Last year I had a flu for a while and it really fucked with my schedule.

Well, some resident living here got the stomach flu, and it's pretty sucky for me because I have a weakened immune system due to my blast of illness for three weeks, so...

I just hope I don't get sick again.

It took until just last week for me to finally get rid of the lingering effects of the sickness I caught mid-January. So glad to be able to fall asleep easily again.

I got all the gettin' sick out of my system right after New Year's Day. Stomach flu, woo! I threw up like, I wanna say nearly 50 times? I was dry heaving after a while. It was pretty cool.

This is the first Winter where I've managed to avoid feeling sick for more than a day or two. Maybe it has to do with how relatively mild the weather has been over here.

This is my 14th winter, and so far its been the best.

Our weather down here has been outrageously crazy. With one day in Janurary being a nice breezy spring like day. and everything, but still...I hate it because of snow....snow sucks, its cold and our fires don't really help a lot...

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
