According to the article, though..
Besides his sniper kills, Simo Häyhä was also credited with as many as two hundred kills with a Suomi M-31 SMG submachine gun, thus bringing his credited kills to at least 705. However, the latter claim has never been substantiated.


I feel sorry for him, I think. (And for those ~705 people, but .. yeah.) Yikes.

In war, it's kill or be killed.

I'm sure it has affected him, but I don't know how depressed I would be. Most vets have a way to not let it affect them.

Plus it takes a different kind of person to be a sniper, one that almost enjoys doing what he's doing.

Yeah, but he also killed 200 people with a SMG.

I wonder how many of those 505 sniper kills were headshots.
