I've Manged to enable the Debug menu with this Game Genie Code

and i also looked into the mode 3 i found a bit more which makes me think its probably something from the PC version of the game i dunno how to open the menu up more than the original 3 .

I'll look at it later. I still don't see what you mean about a PC version.

Thanks for the code for Rainbow Islands Extra. I was looking for a way to enable it in-game after finding the RAM values, what gets displayed, etc. I'll take a look and see what happens later.

according to gamefaqs there was a PC version made i saw the mouse enabled and didn't think there was
one for genesis but there is one for the Japanese mega drive. wrong assumption on my part

The game was recently released digitally over Steam. If you check the Release Data section on the GameFAQs page it says the release date is 01/26/11. So yeah, the PC version is just an emulation of the Genesis version.

That debug menu code never worked...

However, I did hex edit my save state to attain the UnNamed Key. I found something else in the process of playing through..


Go to the graveyard, and move towards the area of the fencing near the corner, where the water stream is. All the way over near the opposite side of the opening in the ground (where you enter B1), near that fence the unNamed key will open a door. Now you can fall into the water, and follow the stream all the way through the farm, then through to the painters house.

Why the hell would the point be to put this in the game ? lol

Hi there, and welcome to the forum!

Just a little heads-up: the rules are pretty specific about double-posting. Six minutes is not a considerable amount of time, and this post didn't really add anything to the conversation. Try to be mindful of that, okay?

I'd recommend shooting a PM over to Hybrid, if anything -- ask him what version of the game he used, or for specific instructions for enabling it.

As for the Unnamed key: I've never actually played this game, is it an unused item?

I attempted to hardcode the two game genie codes for debug, however it gave me a red screen. (Assumed checksum, but even with fix checksums on it red screens)

what emulator are you running it on it seems to be an emulator issue not an issue with the codes
