Megaman511again, dude. I know you changed. But I think the best thing for you right now is to just read the forums and honestly post content you feel that might be entertaining to all of us.

Take this from someone who at least has half a brain on posting habits. The way you are posting now is honestly garbage and has little to no meaning at all.

I'm not telling you to hit the logoff button and leave forever. I seriously want you to consider just reading the forums. If you feel you have something to say. At this moment in time please don't. Just stop, think about what you are going to post and ask yourself "Do they care if I post about my posting habits"?

The only exception to this is in the crazy zone but that is only if we reach a post count milestone. The only milestone you are achieving right now is shitting up the forums and it's not looking good.

Okay, fine, for those of you who are going to be like OH I WAS ON THE INTERNET WHEN I WAS 6 AND I ACTED LIKE ADULT, well, good for you. Some of us, myself, included, had a rocky start to internet etiquette, and people are very much capable of improving. I'm not gonna say names but I know several people on this very forum, myself included, who have started off similarly and improved significantly over time. So before you people keep making excuses about how age and the such is no excuse--we can't all be you, sorry.

That also being said, Megaman, it might be better to find an existing recent topic that interests you. If you feel like you'd be able to contribute to it in some way, then by all means do so! there is absolutely nothing wrong with simply having conversation. Usually, posts that are not too brief yet also not too verbose tend to go a long way (i.e. the opposite of this one, lol)

I think most people aren't necessarily trying to get rid of or insult you- we just don't like the overly-pointless threads. (though some pointless now and then is refreshing, don't overdo it ) I know I've gotten a lot better from a forum posting standpoint since the past...

Lurking around, like Bitmap says, can be a good way to get your footing on things... if you can improve your post quality and such, I'm sure you won't have any trouble fitting in eventually.

Another (fairly minor) thing, I think it's generally frowned upon to use plain text in your signature- some people view the board without a post separator so it kind of merges with the rest of your post.

Each person's behavior is independent, but I say what I say in the hope that I direct them away from the path of starting out as a forum pariah who gets banned for being totally clueless, rather than helping them on their way to repeating what you and those other people did, which generally resulted in them being banned or shunned.
