So I'm planning to go down to Harrisonburg next weekend, the 15th, to visit friends and have some fun. I set a date, contacted my boss, got that saturday off, drove on the highway to get more practice since I need to drive on the interstate to go down there, got the car checked out because my parking brake light wasn't turning off all the time...
I pick up the car today and learn that the transmission is faulty. It could go anytime but there's no way to say when. It's $3200 to fix. Takes 2-3 days. I have a week before going down, my parents and I don't know what to do. We have the money for it but like hell we want to spend it. And we're pissed too because the user car dealership sold us the car with the problem, we heard the whining that indicated this when we purchased it. At the time though, we didn't know what the issue was and didn't think much of it. Unfortunately, we have no recourse because there's no way to prove that they knew about the issue. We're most likely going to just have to bite the bullet and spend it because what else can we do? I'm not getting rid of it to get a new one. It has to get replaced at some point, might as well get it over with in my opinion. We're just pissed about the price and our stupidity. So yeah, I'm hoping to get it fixed so I can go down. Otherwise, I'm not going down, or I'm "stealing" my dad's car. ____________________ |
