Mario Circuit

This contains the race intro, the countdown, and the (idle) engine noise, to give it a little context. Contrary to popular belief, a 7-channel song can be compressed down to a 2-melodic 1-percussive channel song without needing to abuse C64 arpeggios.

The drums are missing the fills though, but that's because I developed the song without them at first, and then wanted to see what it would sound like with them, so I spent a little less time on them.

hey that's fantastic. usually 8 bit versions of songs sound like they were just put through some sort of fuzzy chiptune filter. I don't know if that makes any sense. this sounds really nice, is my point. now you have to make an animation to go with it!

I'd have used both square channels rather than single square and triangle, and keep the engine noise to the triangle or whatever else channel. (unless you ARE using two square channels, then it sounds strangely quiet... on the other hand this song doesn't really have much in the background melody)

But pretty awesome nonetheless.
