I'd like to make a supposition: The world would be much better off if we just chucked out the concept of "political correctness." If we stopped bitching about the best way to help people and just fucking helped them, the world would be a better place. If we weren't so scared of possibly offending someone, more ideas would be thrown around and some more ridiculous things (hello, intelligent design movement) would be stomped out and shown for the ridiculous bullshit they are.
