The Saboteur is a GTA styled WW2 shooter thingy playing in Paris (and a small part of germany).

Pandemic studios was bought by EA and went out of business soon. (Guess whose fault that was...)

They cut an entire castle that is still left (and accessible by playing around :-D) which was planned as an additional DLC (have to look it up but I think it was mentioned somewhere), also the blogs of the designers of the game contain many things that didn't make it into the final game.

I already have collected all the pictures, I only have to make a video and write a bit about it.

If I get an account that is... (hurr durr still waiting on a confirmation email)

Additional stuff: invisible door on a road, cut subway, out of bounds walking (I know the spot to get out :-D) and throwing airplane bombs (which break the grenades btw), also an aerial view and (what seems to be) a testarea.
Funny messages can be provoked when killing Dirker (that you don't see elsewhere)

Any other findings?


Will start posting pictures and stuff in about 4 hours from now (here cause, you know, no access to the wiki)

Arghh!... The screenshot software I used didn't take any screenshots, any suggestions which to use?
Also no video cause my computer is too crappy, I need a DVI capture card (will take some time to find one...)
cause recording and playing at the same time is a NoGo.

I am super interested in this! I platinumed that bad boy on ps3. I'd love if there was more. It was sad that pandemic went to shit, but it was great sendoff. Really talented developer.

@Phugolz: I'm working on a guide how to get into the castle, the guide will work for all versions (PS3,PC,XBOX360)
So you can discover a bit of what's left out.

I did it, got the screenshots, with.... da-da-da-dan: Steam, the Steam overlay also works in games that aren't designed for Steam (Steam Overlay also equals Screenshot functionality :-D ) so linking it to Steam worked.

Fraps and PicPick both failed (is Win7 64 Bit really that exotic?)




Other stuff: The no-bounds area seems to be on purpose, it's only passable when sitting on a vehicle...

Stuff that will happen: in around 2 hours there will be a map with some interesting locations and an unfinished guide to the castle...


About the capture card, didn't find one that suits and is below 300$, screenshots have to be enough.

OT: Is Xkeeper (I assume he is the admin) on a vaction or something? Doesn't reply to emails...

OT2: Do you guys tolerate glitches in the wiki? I have found something slightly amusing:

1: A curvy road, at the end is something that looks like hangar doors (no enemies), probably an entrance to somthing that was left out. It's not on the map.
2: The red zone must be crossed with a vehicle, the black line is where you can go through the border
A bit more left or right and it won't work, the ground seems to be sticky, you can drive on no matter how steep it is
Don't cross the border where the ground ends, the game will most likely lock up. The bounds are still active even when you come from the other side, so be careful not to get stuck with your car.

I think I have seen this castle you speak of. I remember orbiting it for countless tries to get into it. Brought tall cars, etc. No such luck. I'm going to have to grab another copy of this game soon. I sold it off once I polished it. I think I used it as trade in value for fallout new vegas. Boy do I regret that.

There you go, guide first version, normally Youtube videos only go this far, but there is more needed to actually see much of the castle. (and a way to get to the top of the castle which is currently in no video on youtube)
( There is also an alternate version to get up, but it didn't work for me: LINK )

Unfinished guide (pretty big)


I will finish it today or tomorrow.
Currently trying to make a video with fraps...

The recording with Fraps worked, I used the old 1.9 version that had some limitations.
Is it good enough? It's a tour through the unused castle (sadly I had to split it into two videos)
