M83 – “Unrecorded”
M83's upcoming album is getting a lot of hype in the indieverse so they definitely deserved a listen. I didn't really know what sort of music I was expecting but it turns out they're an ambient electro-dream pop band. They kinda remind me of post-rock acts in a way but they have shoegaze aesthetics. Anyway, I picked their second album
Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts, which was released to widespread acclaim in spring 2003 and I absolutely adored it. The soundscapes they produce are very satisfying. This record is an aural treat and it really made my day. Just listening to it, everything felt a bit more beautiful in the world.
Can't wait for their next album.
