Might as well post this here as well.



"Project Pixlar" is an idea that has been brewing in my head for a while now. Essentially, I am aiming to create a full album of twenty-six 8-bit/chiptune styled tracks - that is, one for each letter of the technological alphabet. I've been composing for quite a few years now, but I've never actually set myself up for a musical project quite like this.

What will I do with the tracks when I'm finished with them? Well, I had two things in mind:

a) Actually try and release an album of them (don't really know how I'd publicize it yet, but I'll worry about that in the future).
b) Create an original game and use these songs as the soundtrack (something akin to VVVVVV or An Untitled Story, I suppose). This is the most likely option, hence why the tracks themselves are rather short and more game-like.

Anyway, here are the links to the tracks I've created thus far. I am fully intent on continuing and doing the rest.

Project Pixlar? Very interesting project I have seen myself. The soundtracks in my opinion were excellent, it definately belongs in a NES game in my opinion. Three thumbs up from this user

Those are awesome. I really like chiptune music (I've recently become very fond of Genesis FM Synth )

You could do a remix of Drive for O called Overdrive >.> <.<

So I've actually done 20 more tracks on this since the first four. Rather than posting them all in a list-like format, I'll just post the YouTube playlist itself and if people want to selectively pick ones to listen to, they can. In particular, I'd recommend anything from 14 and onwards as they tend to be much stronger than the earliest stuff.
