I think I would use Latest Posts more if it was able to tell which posts were marked as read and which weren't... then again, that might be difficult, I don't know how the code behind the "NEW" markers works.

I don't use favorites, but I find "Latest Posts" to be very useful! I've been using it increasingly more often lately.
