I'm always amazed at stuff being on the clearance rack for like three years at stores like CVS and Kmart... just today I picked up a spindle of 25 Maxell Pro CD-Rs (I think they've been discontinued, AFAIK) at Kmart, and they rang up as $9.99 (there was no tag on them and it looked like they were sitting there for like 2-3 years)... surprised nobody noticed these (also saw some old Sony DVD±R(W) media and old-label Memorex printable CD-Rs, among other things)

I popped one of these discs into the computer to check the manufacturer, and it turns out these are Taiyo Yuden discs (probably the best CD-R on the market )

It is the middle of June, temperatures should be higher than the low 50's. Right?

Heh. For us, June has been cold and rainy so far. No signs of sunny weather anywhere.

June: Slightly cold, HEAT WAVE, not as slightly cold but still in the 70's or something.

Our June here.

Illumina: Funny, as I always thought that Maxell had pretty crap quality as far as CD-R's go.

Then again, that was years ago. Their brands might have changed since then.

I've heard a lot of the CD brands nowadays are made by the same company in the same factories, and then just sold under various names- I wonder if that's the case for Maxell as well.

And probably all in the same country, too

Yeah, merged companies often retain all their old brand names for different products. Probably to confuse people so they won't think they're all owned by Monolithic Megaconglomerate, Inc.

Yeah. Even different companies share the same Chinese parts, most of the time.

If you're in the same factory, I think being in the same country comes alongside the deal.

I've been incredibly lazy with my designs recently (website designs, post layout, etc.).

I really need to think of something different.

Please tell me hydra modding this forum is a new thing, and not something that I just failed to notice for the past few months.

It's new.

Then again, he's already admin as it is. Maybe he was testing the bug with trashing threads?

Yeah, that'd make sense. Although it has also sort of been adopted as 'his' forum to mod these days.

One thing is, you're lucky I'm not mod of this forum. Any duplicate of a topic type past the initial (I.E., any signs of memes/dogpiling on an idea) would be trashed and a giant unfriendly fist-shaking topic would go 'NO MEME CLONE TOPICS.' :p

Meanwhile, if I were mod, nothing would really change. Since I'm such a lenient person by nature, and it is the Craziness Domain... (or, I guess, was the Craziness Domain )

Yeah. I've just been shaped by a... rather crazy past, which led me to give people little to no slack.

That and I'm used to all or nothing--places which either are so well behaved I hardly have to do anything, or nuthouses where I need to constantly discipline people.

I was in Anthropologie today with a friend and we were just walking around until all of a sudden my least favorite track on Vampire Weekend's self-titled came on the store speakers so I told my friend we should leave and we left.

You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
