I ended up playing Smash Ping-pong against my father... well, er, except insofar as neither of us knew how to play the game, so it resulted in random controller pressing until we were able to figure something out. (And then I won )

Where are you at in terms of story? Have you been to Lilycove already and can go to the east sea? Have you gone to Mt. Pyre? Have you found Team Magma's HQ?
I don't remember when you had to go back to Slateport either, but you recieve a call anyways (I think) so I doubt you are stuck there.

There's quite a lot of story stuff to do after you get the fifth badge. Though I thought it was pretty linear.

Hmm, I don't remember that LA one. OOT had no particularly difficult PoH to find, perhaps the fishing ones? I always hated fishing. Oh, there was also the grave digging game.

As for me, I'm playing Pokemon Heart Gold in Simplified Chinese ... it took forever to find this. I just got Chikorita from Elm.

Of course the game has a tendency to crash every thirty minutes for some reason, so it's very irritating.

I've been playing FF5 with a friend, (Bill's magical adventure!) and next we're gonna do FF6 with me being 1st player.
I've also been playing Phantom Brave on the PSP, and FFTA2 on my DS. I was playing FF3, but it didn't catch my interest much.

I also started a file on Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town but it's not going so well for getting playtime :V

Bleh. I'm not sure if I'll ever finish Yoshi's Island DS. There's just something immensely frustrating and deeply unsatisfying about the game.

The fact that it was made by an outside company (Artoon) doesn't help things, either. It feels like they made a shoddy clone of the original, without any of the charm.
