For future reference, "Responsible disclosure" isn't "acting like a douche about an exploit and demanding compensation".

...using DSLinux and links. Yep. I've just got it to connect to wifi aand here I am.

The keyboard is a pain to use and it is quite slow rendering pages, even in text only mode... Its still cool to see what the DS can do with a memory expansion, the EZ4 in my case.

If you have a spare machine, you can always set up a telnet/ssh server on it.

Then you'll be able to do a bit more on DSLinux. Trust me, ssh/telnet free up plenty of RAM that could be used to run local apps. Especially for irssi and elinks.

Look, a lil' floating box!
I never managed to run DSLinux from M3i Sakura

The official website was dead too, last time I checked. Kind of a shame.

Have you used the "official" DS browser at all? I'd be curious how the two compare... (of course, the official browser is graphical)

The official browser is more than decent. I've used it in the past to browse and post normally.

The android browser beats it, but typing might still be faster on the DS.

Paulguy's Post configuration
Did they ever write optimal video drivers for it? I remember the graphical browser being broken as hell and the framebuffer being slow as hell, since it used cfb functions for everything.

I do have my VPS to ssh to it. Buut: typing lags of 10 seconds or more (graaah) and the connection completely froze after 5 min or so (graah x2), while ssh'ing from a computer works perfectly

Also, I haven't tried the official DS browser since I don't have the expansion ram pak and I'm not sure if there is a way to make it work with my EZ4... It's something worth googling, seeing Sanky's opinion on it

@paulguy: yeah, the graphical version of elinks is broken as hell. You can literally SEE it render the text as the page loads ...

I never had any issue getting it working on my R4, but it was only a text editor when I didn't have a RAM expansion.

...Now that I think of it, the idea of 3DSLinux sounds interesting. Hell, you might be able to run Fluxbox or XFCE on it or something! Not too usably with the low res, but still...

...Kinda makes me want a Pandora. Sigh.

Yeah, I have the official browser, but no flashcard so I've never tried DSLinux.

I've been thinking about getting one, though... especially since now the DS is nearing the end of it's life, presumably it will become harder to obtain once the system is dead.

I've always used Bunjallo, but it's not updated anymore. It got the job done for quick web surfing. I've never had the official one, as the DS Phat variant is annoying to get.
