Oh man I remember playing a fucked up translated Pokemon Gold like this one back before the official English version was released. This thread makes me want to go through that ROM again and see how awful those translations really are.

That sounds like from the pikablu days. I wasn't on the internet back then...

Also I just realized, in Team Rocket's Rockin' there was a submission about a weird pokemon Crystal bootleg. From the screenshots you'd focus on how CABR and SNAKE are labeled WATER, and the general description sounds somewhat different disregarding the whole "Elf" deal... So I didn't make the connection until I plugged in the Xazafier and selected the Holy Figure
