There's a couple of hidden images in Portal 2 that are stored as SSTV signals in WAV files - in game they just (deliberately) play static, ala the pre-announcement ARG.

One of these is actually part of the developer commentary mode, and the signal contains commentary on the pre-release ARG. Does this could as a sufficiently hidden message, or no?

One thing I found was a few Blue ERROR models on the outside of some maps, especially in the chapter 2 test chambers.

Here's a screen shot of one of them

an identical ERROR model is used in Garry's Mod
when somebody places an item from a game that you don't have installed

so I guess there is a pointer-link-whatever
there to a non-existent model


(the gmod one is red not blue but close enough)

It's used in every Source game when the player doesn't have a model the game is trying to load. In ever Source game except Portal 2, it's red. They changed it to blue for Portal 2, probably to make it easier to see in certain areas.
