Daraku Tenshi is an arcade only fighting game that was released very unfinished. Inside the game are several pieces of concept art as well as unused characters and title screens for the game. Thanks to a user named XGargoyle we also have several pieces of the game's storyboards if anyone is interested I can get links to them.

Anyway here are some unused title screens/names for the game found in the game's bitmap dump.

Rubbin' Out must have been a very early title as this is obviously just placeholder art. Its much too plain to be a final.

There are two title screens for Gut Reaction so they must have been very set on this one at one point. The second one is much more polished than the simplistic first one.

The final one looks odd part of it may have been cut off when dumping it on the rom or something.

A Blow for Freedom fits the game well to me. The game's story is a group of misfits who are attempting to bring down a super hacker/crime lord , Carlos who has risen to be the supreme lord of the island of Eden, a city that was separated from mainland Japan in an Earthquake.

Here's unused character 1, Sid. His name was unknown to us until we found the game storyboards. Not much else is known about him besides the fact he seems to know Carlos is behind everything

Here's Lapis. Everywhere on the internet you can find her name and the fact that she is a treasure hunter. Thanks to the games storyboards we know she serves(ed) as comic relief. XGargoyle has her storyboard but it hasn't been put online yet.

This is Jimmy. He doesn't have anything but I blanked the picture anyway for decency reasons. According to a note by a developer that turned up online he was cut from the game because someone higher up didn't like him or something. He was another another one of Carlos's genetic experiments like the character Haiji who is in the final game.

Here is Snake. Snake is a bit of an enigma. The place in the rom where his picture should be is replaced with a sprite of Haiji Mibu, who is in the final game. Its unknown how his sprite got online, but his name actually is Snake as confirmed by the storyboards. He shows up several of them to speak with the other characters.

Not really sure about this guy. He's listed as the old detective and has his own storyboards, but they've yet to be posted.

Oh and for those interested here are links to the storyboards we have so far:

These are straight from the developers, in Japanese and they are missing several pages but considering what they are what we have is amazing.

The alt attribute should be used to give a short description
of an image; longer descriptions should be given with the
longdesc attribute which takes a URL linked to the description.
These measures are needed for people using non-graphical browsers.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
