In case you haven't heard, Bitter Films is offering Everything Will Be Okay DVDs FREE this week in celebration of the 5th anniversary of its premiere with purchase of a second item. I decided my second item to be a $5 film strip from one of the two films which makes the whole thing $12 due to shipping. Considering, it'll probably be the best $5 I ever spend.

But anyway, I don't have a credit card, so I had to do it through Paypal.

I got an e-mail when I went to add funds (since I had nothing), in the hopes of the funds arriving at the end of the week.

Expected date: April 11.

Well that's why you always keep a spare 20 in there, these one chance oppurtunities do happen.

The Canadian timeframe is even worse. 6-8 business days. So if I add funds on a Monday, they'll show up the following Tuesday/Wednesday at the latest.

Having said that, I do always keep a few dollars in the account just in case the need arises. At least PayPal doesn't charge interest.

True. But I kinda get very loose with my money if I know I have it to spend, so I try to keep it locked up as much as possible, or at the very least have a small amount around so I can, in real life, get small things or snacks, and on the Internet, rage even more about not having enough money for anything.

Paulguy's Post configuration
I don't deal with paypal anymore. It never worked right for me. Then when I heard they stopped allowing people to send money to wikileaks, I canceled my account. Also, if you leave money sitting in your account, they use it to invest and profit from it, so I wouldn't suggest doing that if you absolutely need the service.

All companies wants to use the people's money for profit, an it's nearly impossible to avoid one of the giants who are evil without a doubt.

Nearly impossible because suicide would pretty much be the only way out of avoiding giving money to these companies. Unless there's now a giant company that deals with funerals for people who committed suicide!

Gabu, why not keep a spare debit card in your wallet like I do and limit it to certain amount of stuff you'll need or this one item you were hoping to get ?

https://www.netspend.com/ I've been with these guys since 12/09 and they don't cause me much grief or hassle.
The only time I will hear from them if policys are changing or they screwed up on loosing my funds with someones elses account.

Other than that, when I need money on my card in 1 minute, I just swing by a western union in a store and pay 3.50 to load it.

Choice is up to you though, beats having to rush up to the bank to avoid a over draft fee before 2pm each day.

I'm stingy and don't really like having to pay tree-fitty to put money on a card with. :U
