Portals are screwy. Due to the way it was handled, after building a portal in the real world, in order for your 2nd portal to not link back to the first's nether counterpart, it needs to be over 1000 blocks away! The easy way to fix it is:

1) Go to nether.
2) Break the portal that you came out of.
3) Store all your valuables in a chest.
4) Die. (Ideally right next to that portal, when you die in the Nether it'll make a portal in the real world about where you died.)
5) Go back and go into the 2nd portal you made. Since it doesn't detect the first nether portal since you broke it, it will generate a new on in the right spot.
6) Go to the nether from there, and go back and repair the 1st nether side portal.
7) Two fully functional portal pairs!

I got in a heavy battle with an army of Ghasts when I first went to the Nether. Because of it, my first Nether base has four portals right next to each other (in a sort of -|-| pattern) and they all lead back to the same portal in my base.

I could talk about how I get bad framerates...
Or I could show a few screenshots.
(fog comparisons taken from bloodstar's snow house thing, rail shot doesn't matter / don't remember the destination but I did leave spawn city)

Also I am not going to be able to navigate my way to anything without some kind of instructionals am I
Was trying to find Eppy's, storage tower, thing yesterday, but never did

EditNote: also I found a bigass pile of minecarts near the idiot box yesterday, any reason that would be there?

Oh hey, guys. If you want a really awesome cave system to go exploring in, type in the word "creepers" (no quotes, and case sensitive) in the seed generator and you'll get a HUGE cave system near your start that's full of dungeons and other goodies! However, you may have to peek about a little bit, as it's obscured pretty good by a desert and a hill.

No problem. It gives me time to pitch my new little Minecraft endeavor!

Who wants to be part of the League Of Subterranean Exploration and Reconnaissance? I love to look for caves and go spelunking, so I figured maybe others would want to join me. I was working on the building in 1.3, and anyone who decides to join in gets a personal room to store their findings and stuff. =)

I found this one Minecraft mod recently which adds a shelf that use can use to not only store, but show off your items. If you can add that in too somehow, that would be totally super awesome.

It's in here, just scroll down to find "Shelf Beta 1.4", if you wanna put it into the server anyway.

1.4.01 was released today. Don't bother updating, as it'll erase your mods (but not really break them). All it did was remove a small joke routine that was put in for April 1st. They may have just as well waited for a major update to remove that, as it was only active for one day.

I forgot to make a backup of 1.4 when I was installing a mod, something went wrong, aaaand... yeah.

Pardon the double post, buuuuuut...

Looks like 1.5 is going to be coming out next week. This time, we'll get our achievements, as well as get weather effects! Should be neat to find out what else might be there.

I'm still hoping that like, maybe there'll be some villages to find on the main world at some point. It'll make exploring even more fun!

Hey, just outta curiousity, is there a chance that we could get copies of the previous worlds that we used so we could use them in Single Player?

I don't know how many plugins it'll take to get them into some kind of working condition, but it'd be fun to go reminisce.

Also! I finished the L.O.S.E.R. building and it's a bit behind Eppy's building near Spawn. Lemme know if you want in. I'd like to start a spelunking expedition sometime very soon.
