I figured you ladies and gentlemen may know more about this topic then I do so I am going to ask the following questions: Why do people cheat or have affairs or commit adultery and if you willing will you some of your stories.

The reason why I have created this thread is because I have just been cheated on(affair or Adultery) and I will tell you the whole story later.

PS. I did not know if there is a difference between the 3 words in the the title so I listed the all because I have heard it called all three of those words before.

Lust. And a certain amount of disrespect/disregard for their partner.

Some people are just primitive, undeveloped cave men and women who have much more sex drive than self-control. At least that's how I've figured it.

Another thing that can happen is they just have no interest in the relationship and don't know how to end it, so they just go on to someone else, which might be what happened in your situation. Just some possibility I've heard, I honestly don't know much about this stuff at all. Never been in a relationship.

  • If I'm not mistaken:
  • "Affairs" are when someone in a married couple cheats on their spouse.
  • "Adultery" specifically refers to extramarital sexual intercourse.
  • "Cheating" (also known as infidelity) is whenever you break some sort of agreed rule in a relationship.

This question is pretty vague, really, but in general, I think it mostly happens because someone wants something from the relationship they aren't quite getting and try to accomplish this either directly (by seeking these things out on their own, which could be totally fine, too, if their partner allows it, but then it wouldn't really be cheating since they're allowing it) or indirectly (by intentionally trying to hurt their partner).

It's just overly simplistic to say it's because of lust or primal needs.

Yes, from my knowledge of psychology, people who cheat or similar are usually doing it to hurt the one they're supposedly connected to. Since otherwise, nothing should stop them from just breaking it off with person A. and THEN being with person B.

Of course that's not the only reason, but it's the main one I know of.

As I recall, it's perfectly natural to have a desire to mate with several partners, as it greatly increases one's chances of passing along their genes. This applies to humans as well as many other species.

Of course, something natural isn't necessarily viewed as good in today's society, so people typically try to repress this innate desire. If they cannot, though, they then try to keep it a secret, fearing society's and/or their mate's judgment.

In theory, a stable relationship can be formed with more than two people, but since this is looked down upon by almost every prominent culture, such relationships rarely occur without issues, even if everyone involved agrees to it.

I was involved in an affair at one point. I drifted towards someone else because I just wasn't finding what I wanted in my current relationship (which to be fair, was agreed between the two of us as an "open relationship"). He lived over a thousand miles away, so naturally I couldn't feel much connection even though we did have daily talks. When things finally picked up, there was a two or three week period where I was with both of them before I ultimately made my decision to be with one of them.

I can't say I'm proud of that moment. Circumstances in the situation agreed by all three of us made it very awkward, so in the end we just decided to do the standard two person relationship. I doubt I'll ever get into a similar situation again. It felt pretty awful.

My experience is not very common though, so take it as you will.

I'll have to go with the general consensus here. I don't have any real first person experience with these things. Unless you count the creeper, who I discovered several days ago that he seemed to have had a 'girlfriend' at the time of fucking around with me. But that was very tenuous at best.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
