Well I'm guessing we get more characters than in Melee. I mean, even if some characters don't return... where's Luigi? :\ If you're going to throw a lock out there, then come on. I'd guess Falcon as well...

No change in the date yet..it still says its street dated for Dec. 3. Which means we'll get the game early but we can't sell it until the 3rd. Unless they do move the date...

...I saw the Sonic video, wow. Now that looks sweet.

I read somewhere that they wont introduce hidden characters, but the characters already listed will be playable at the start of the game.

I could be wrong tho, I know I heard it either on the site or Nintendo Power.

It is very clear that when they made the Brawl versions of the characters, they had TP in mind (other than the identical character design). Also because the LOZ stage we got so far is one from TP. To me it seems a bit silly that with all these TP references in characters that they throw it off by introducing Zelda's transformation into Shiek.

That of course is unless Shiek is a completely different character to play as other than Zelda or an assist trophy. If that is so, then I have no ill means against him/her and I am just fine with the character in the game.

btw, I know that Shiek was "confirmed" in an interview. But with these kind of games, you do not believe it until you see it.

If you haven't checked watch the videos they have up there. In game character select and stage select. The announcer is better.

And they actually fight in the Castle Seige level. Drill Dozer is an assist trophy. Awesome.

Aww... this game is win.
The character select screen doesn't look like it has room for more chars than Melee though Maybe the icons get smaller? I mean, we already have 21 confirmed characters, (not including Sheik or Ganondorf)

Woo hoo! A delay! And I'm not being sarcastic!

I see it this way... They announce sonic, and there's a bunch of dorks out there (even worse than some of the posts in this thread) that were all "OMG×27 SONIC AWESOME YEAH!e!l1e1v!e!n!" and now they're all "OMG×28 NO! FEBRUARY! MY WILL TO LIVE!"

Make of it what you will, but these two announcements are perfect opposites of each other, and do a nice job of cancelling each other out. If the delay is the bad news for you, at least you know Sonic will be in the game. If sonic is the bad news for you (like it was for me), at least pathetic people are writhing in pain right now. Win-win!

Yes, damn them for adding popular characters. They should totally remove Sonic.

And Snake.

And Marth/Roy.

And all the Pokemon.

And the Zelda characters.

And Samus.

And the Mario characters.

And the Mother characters.

And everyone else. After all, you remove one thing and people will just flock to the next "coolest" one.

Voila! No more problem. You wouldn't want all those terrible people using one (and only one) character in all the online matches, would you?

Oh, and I consider both Sonic being in and the delay to be good things. Then again, a far less-polished game being released a few months earlier would be grand, wouldn't it?

Yeah, thats why delays don't really bother me much. The game will be better for it, while this doesn't always mean a wonderful game(I'm looking at you Final Fantasy XII!), it's doubtless releasing it earlier would be worse. As to Sonic and your(GuyPerfect) dislike of him being in, I really have nothing to add to what Skreeny said, as he put it quite nicely.

Finally, some discussion that doesn't involve squealing or wetting of pants.

I don't know where the idea came from that my problem lies with Sonic. I specifically stated that my problem is with the senseless cult that follows him; people who say, quote, "im going to buy sonic underwear now that he's in brawl." Them waiting another 9 weeks is as lotus to my lust for their pain.

BTW more videos were upped at that IGN link. One is of Norfair and the other Delfino.

I love the design of Norfair. Its offset platforms make it easy to figure out but are a new arrangement to adjust to for grabbing items and such.
