I got into all of the toy fads as a kid. Beanie Babies, Furby, Pokemon, you name it. The only one I still like is Pokemon, even though I haven't played a Pokemon game in like a year or so.

Beanie Babies, oh God. I was so into them as a kid, then began getting out of them at 11 or 12 or something. Mom still bought those things for me until I was sick of them, in which case nearly all of them were stuffed onto shelves built specifically for them (oh mom, you're such a card), then stuffed into plastic bags where they remain to this day. When is mom going to tell me that we're FINALLY going to get around selling the things I don't want on Ebay? We have the pictures. Hell, she made me RETAKE pictures because of lighting crap she wasn't pleased about.

Still though, I'm still keeping probably more of them than I should have, mainly for the sentimental value/they look cool for some reason/hahaha there's no way I'll be able to get rid of that. But most of them have GOT to go. Even if I have to dump whatever I can't sell at Salvation Army. The ones that I do have are taking up space.

And yes, it is a fairly sizable collection. I think there's over 60 in my collection, possibly 70, and I'm keeping about 15.

Plus I'm more or less sleeping with my favorite again.

I remember this one board game called "Don't Wake Daddy". My mom and I would play it and we'd commonly have games where you could press the button about sixty bajillion times and daddy would never pop up.

It was supposed to be random. Whenever you landed on a particular "noise" space, you would press the alarm clock button the specified number of times and he would randomly wake up. If you woke up, you'd go back to the start.

Of course for mom and I, his alarm clock was unplugged because it was a weekend or something.

Oh God, Furbies.

I had a Furby when I was 7. Irritating little bugger. One time my dog tried to kill the Furby, and it was all "ME NO LIKE! HELP!" because my dog was shaking it and stuff, and my parents and I were laughing too hard to try to get the dog to drop it. I'm actually cracking up just thinking about it.

Also, talking plushies in general. I got one just a few years ago as a stocking stuffer for Christmas--it was a little reindeer beanie baby-type thing that came with a bag of Reese's cups. It's still lying around. Sometimes I step on it and scare the shit out of myself.

You can't believe how hard I'm laughing right now.

My parents have actually said they wished they'd had a video camera with them so they coulda filmed it. (I have no real memory of the incident, by the way, I'm just going off what I've been told.)
