This will flip all the textures, right? And, why is it that textures, and models seem to be reversed in-game? I'm interested.

I also found that Mario is roughly 1' and 9" tall in SU. This helped me with keeping my levels to scale.

Look my recent posts at the Level Importer test, I explained there why the models look "reversed". Not sure about the textures, but then that is easier to fix.

Gecko: I don't think so. I don't have a Wii so I can't test it, but others have tried and it didn't work. You can use the Wii N64 emulator though.

I know it's possible to insert one game over another, so I'd guess the only reason it doesn't work is because the ROM extender creates ROMs that will crash on a real N64.

Some months ago I sent someone a version of "The Missing Stars" with the extended version problems corrected (it's just an alignment error) and he couldn't get it to work on the Wii. Not sure what happened though.

When i first modded my wii, all I did was screw around with emulators and wads. I got The Missing Stars running with Wii64, but i never did try it with a wad, I upgraded and now it won't let me install them. But the emulator does work with it.

This is the generic question thread--if you don't know where to ask it, you can ask it here, so don't worry.

If there's a more specific place, it'll be pointed out, but you won't be in trouble for not finding it first.

ok, so do you know anything about custom objects? because in dudaw's healing white shyguy video, he made the shyguy white while there were red shyguys around it, so if you don't thats fine too

I am just the moderator. Having read through multiple threads (in my rounds of ensuring they were legitimate) I would guess most custom objects involve replacing data of pre-existing objects (in this case, NPCs) and then putting what data you want. I suspect Dudaw did something involving bob-ombs and replacing their models.

Yeah, custom objects require some lower-level hacking of behavior/geometry scripts. These are kinda documented, but the docs in the stickies are somewhat outdated... Doubt you'd be able to create custom objects JUST from these docs. messiaen might have some more up to date info somewhere lying around, cellardwellar has some nice stuff as well.

Umm, guys, something funny is going on. After importing & hacking the game does't give any options to save after you collect the star and exit the level. Same thing goes on with original levels too. Any ideas? thnks

EDIT: it was emulators fault. Everything ok now

The White Shy Guy was actually just a copy of the Goomba's geo layout with recolored palettes and textures.
But Gazpacho, doing this with such a huge model as Yoshi is kind of a bad idea (huge waste of space.)
You would probably want to set up an ASM hack that changes the palette color according to a parameter or something.
Hm... This gives me an idea...

Are you using the right exit warp?
Dunno, there's not much to go off of from that post.

ok because in my hack, its like a sequel of thousand-year door like you go back to all those levels, and i need to create my own boss and make multiple yoshi colors
@dudaw how do you set up an ASM hack exactly? im kind of new to more of this advanced stuff i can understand hex a little bit better but idk how to make an ASM hack
-edit-
i read over the ASM page and i still don't understand it too well

Answer: It seems difficult if it is possible. They have to be properly aligned and then injected into the WAD file or whatever it is, and no one has reported back with it working 100% on an actual Wii.

You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and

the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
