Really, this game is proving itself to be excellent. Screw what tourney players are thinking. This game just looks like a hell of a lot more fun than other anticipated games that have failed to meet my fun factor level.

I mean, just take a look. Set lives for each stage? That means these levels must be HUGE! And its co-op like Kirby SuperStar. That's gotta count for something.

Amazing, if this doesn't take game of the year, I will be highly disturbed at the state of gaming. Especially if it loses to Halo 3. And Co-op is cool, but would be better had I someone to play co-op with often.

I'm looking for a level head in this topic, but all I can find are squeals and wet pants.

Yes, the game offers many novel ideas and has a lot of interesting content. But 30 years from now, will it still be held to the same light? It's not possible for a video game to rank among the list of "best things ever."

I'm starting to wonder if this developer blog isn't intended to be casually informant, but actually a clever marketing ploy from the get-go... one that's working.

Unlike Halo 3 and it's super advertising scheme, SSBB is simply word of mouth. Also, most people agreed that SSBM took SSB64 and made it better in many ways, not breaking was was working. Sequels rarely are better then the originals, and with all the new content being added, it seems this will blow them away also. So yes, you can expect the squealing. Halo 3 had nothing going for it except for the multiplayer. Noone really cared about the single player, it sucked and was short. It had blatant advertising bullshit, and SSBB may have an internet hype train for it, but it's not as bad as Halo 3. Never. I don't think we will see one commercial for SSBB (There was one for SSB64 though ;D I hope some of you remember/saw it, it's good stuff).

Halo 3 will remain one of the top played FPS' for a long time, and since SSBB is proving to be better, I think that it will be still played 30 years from now.
