On my end, I actually tend to use deviantArt to find some neat people. Maybe I'm just lucky and have good people sense. I'm able to use it to show off my stuff to all my artsy friends (and I have a lot of those).

I seem to have a knack for staying out of any dA idiocy, unlike YouTube where I tend to get a clusterfuck of morons posting on my stuff.

I've got a DeviantArt account too and i can tell they arent really choosing who are good. i only have really simple sprite edits since i don't have a scanner or a camera. My most simple sprite edit ever is actually the most popular (even if its only 25 favs). One of my friends pieces of art also only has that amount. You can look at my account if you want since i've got the same username as this one. Also most people following me are because i talk to them. In fact look at Shadowhatesomochao on deviantart, she's got an awesome shadow the hedgehog pic.
