...What kind of secrets could FINLAND be hiding?

Honestly, if there were anything interesting secrets, I'd be more than glad to tell them. We mostly use common defense tactics, our equipment can be seen on the website and I doubt we would be told any secrets at all, since we're just conscripts there.

A corporal medic doesn't need to know secrets, only how many wounded are there right now.

It's not a secret, but the biggest perk finnish soldiers have is that we get training for tons of weaponry and equipment. Assault rifles, rifles, pistols, bazookas, radio equipment, medical treatment, how to set up a temporary base, how to operate certain vehicles...

Yeah, it's funny to think that it's over. All sorts of personalities and assholes in that place.

Discipline in the army really sucks. It promotes wrong types of personalities

The training was rough, but good. Downside being there's not much you do with the knowledge of how to clean a rifle in normal life. Although medical training was pretty much awesome and practical.

I actually enjoyed more of the time when I was being trained, rather than being the trainer or a leader.

And my time as a corporal medic has gotten me interested in medical stuff in general. I might try to get more out of that in some school

That's nice that the army actually got you interested in pursuing something in college I have a few friends that are going to the army, but that's because they have no chance of surviving college (or it's a very smart way to get out of Puerto Rico )

I think some Americans join the military so that the GI Bill will pay for their college educations. And now finally they will allow non-heterosexual people in

None of my friends ever seriously considered the army/navy/air force... although I can see how it would be attractive with the pay/education benefits.

With my luck I wouldn't be sent to do peacekeeping (like Canada usually does). I'd end up in Afghanistan.
