My girlfriend and I have already begun to open presents

She got a little 4GB gumstick MP3 player, while I got the following:
* 33-piece hobby/security bit set (hopefully I can open video game cartridges, etc. with this )
* Digital video camera (a tiny one, with a tripod and SD card)
* 11-piece precision screwdriver set
* Energizer folding compact charger w/ 4 rechargeable AA batteries

...but that's not all... we're going to bed shortly so we can finish opening presents

We don't open presents on Christmas Eve... too busy tonight anyways.

Tomorrow will be whatever but I'm predicting clothes, gift cards and some sort of sweet treat.

Sunday will be "Colin treats himself to Boxing Day shopping" day.

Well:
An epic Star Trek poster showing the details of the Enterprise D, which I love.
A metric ton of chocolate.
Much needed clothes (seriously, my socks just keep disappearing).
An epic Fedora, which I haven't taken off since I unwrapped it.
A whip.
£65

Tomorrow, we're going to my grandparents to open up even MORE presents. My christmasses always last at least 2 days

Now, to save up for a leather jacket and complete the Indiana Jones look

EDIT: And perhaps the greatest gift of all: v13 of the Super Mario 64 Object Importer

Just small things this year, shipped my by mom from Michigan.

- Classic Dave Barry calendar
- Really pretty nail polish Plus some remover, which is good as I was just about to run out myself.
- Lego minifig (yes, I'm an adult female who likes Lego. Deal with it.)
- Geeky FoxTrot collection
- Sparkly Santa Claus figure
- Cute little tiny kitty!
- Some kind of emergency flashlight/laser pointer thing. I guess I'll be using that when I have actual cats

For me:

$200 Amazon gift card
Starbucks gift card (I forget the amount)
an Audio Technica USB turntable
A couple of books ("Me of Little Faith" by Lewis Black and "More Information Than You Require" by John Hodgman)
some T-shirts
A TI-Nspire graphing calculator (although this was less of a Christmas gift and more of a university thing)
A hand-knit cap
and various other things

Let's see...

New shoes
Some shirts (which I needed...)
StarCraft II, BioShock, and Elder Scrolls IV (I don't play many PC games, so this is interesting- hopefully my computer can handle them)
A bicycle pump (somewhat baffling, as I have one)
A compact scale (useful with all the flying I have to do nowadays, to avoid oversize bag charges)
Some books
A reprint of a historic map of Great Britain and Ireland (with all the shires denoted- I like old maps a lot)
$50 Amazon gift card
$20 GameStop gift card
Candy, candy, candy

And I think that's pretty much it.

Thus far:
  • An electronic cat that meows and purrs ... almost randomly.
  • $35
  • Some candies and other food
  • A shirt
  • 10 DVD-RWs
  • A duck (container)

Might get more later today, but not sure...

I don't know why, but this amuses me.

Rather than repost everything I just updated my first post. I'll just say that the outlook for the whole "needed upgrade from my broken, busted laptop" thing probably isn't happening.

from myself:

iPhone 3GS, 16GB
Logic Studio 9
assorted clothing I was in dire need of
that one borderlands DLC with the level cap increase. general knoxx. that one.

from others:
Colin got me World of Goo on Steam seemingly out of the blue. Thanks Colin!
Also someone gifted The Ball, which turned out to be ... well ... it's all right, I guess. The demo levels were good but the full game is fairly tedious.
