Last weekend before it snowed I saw a snowplow going around the town... (with the plow in place and everything, I mean) probably just doing something to get prepared, but I wondered if they were just screwing with people.

I wish the parking lots were cleared here...

Anyway, now they even had to close an Ikea store because it is about to collapse due to the snow. Wow.

Ended up snowing here as well, and I had to go shovel it again...

Though the weather reporters say the next storm could end up just going out into the Atlantic Ocean, which would be nice.

No snow for Christmas, but we got some during the day. Not sure if 2cm will be recorded on the ground by Christmas morning; that would officially be a White Christmas.

I really hope all you California types didn't get hit with mudslides and floods and such.

I think it supposed to snow a centimeter more on Christmas Eve. White Christmas = bagged

It looks like over here we're going to get more snow just after Christmas, so a white Christmas is dependent on the snow that's here not melting... So the chances are looking pretty good.

I thought it was snowing this morning, but it turned out to be snow blowing off the roof in front of my window.

It's California, of course we did!

It rained some more over the weekend... and another round is set for the middle of this week. Some of the highways through the mountains are still closed due to flooding, and I think Laguna Beach is going to be under water/sinking in mud for a while still.

Luckily I live in a city that doesn't flood too badly, but my commute to work during heavy rain is just brutal... stupid people don't know how to drive if the roads are wet. Two hours to go 30 miles? Come on!


Oh my, California sounds so much like Puerto Rico It's been raining literally every day here, and today was just plain scary

For me, 80°F is sweltering. The few hot days we had in Seattle were like torture, as I discovered that homes in Seattle rarely have air conditioning.
