It's predicted to rain in almost all of Florida except for the Tampa Bay area. By "cold front" of course I mean "highs of 70 and lows of 50".

You Americans and the Fahrenheit scale... It's a pain to convert this back and forth to Celsius

Anyway, as an addition to my last post here: snowfall had stopped at some point in the early evening and we've got a good 3 or so centimeters of snow, maybe a bit more (or something like 1-2 inches if you prefer, dunno for sure). Now it's past 10:30 pm and temperatures are still around -1/-2°C (or 30-28°F, I guess?).

And no traffic breakdowns so far, yay! Maybe the city administration, public transport, etc. really did make some preparations this year! Then again, this was just the start, so who knows...

Agh... it snowed today. If there's any weather phenomenon that can depress me deeply, it's snow. I hate the temperature it has, I hate the sound it makes, I hate the mess it leaves behind on my shoes, trousers and the ground. I hate it altogether. No, I'd rather have some good pouring rain then.

It has been about -1C./+30F. at daytime and -6C./+21F at nighttime for a couple of days already. The temperatures appear to drop even more from Wednesday until Friday, going at -4C. daytime and a whopping -13C. on Friday maybe already. That's early in the season =(.

However... great news! After this week, temperature appears to be rising rapidly, maybe even getting up as high as +10C/+50F again. Now this would be fantastic. I fear it is going to be a rather frigid winter like last year though...

Just got the first snow in my town. Pretty thick too, at least five inches or so. Almost got rear ended driving back from school, but the guy slide just enough to the right that it barely avoided my back bumper.

It snowed last weekend, but that was it. I don't expect anything more for at least a week or so.

Horrible snowstorm was here last night. Blinds everyone. I don't want to go outside ever again. It's about 20 cm on my driveway due to the wind, hard to shovel that.

I look outside. It's a blizzard. I hate being in school and walking home.

It's been snowing in Sheffield for about twenty-four hours now, give or take a couple of hours' rest here and there. We've got another twenty-four hours of it to come. There's about three-to-four inches on the ground.

This isn't unusual by last year's standards, but I can remember how in 1998 and 1999 most people in Britain thought bad winters were a thing of the past. By those standards, this is extremely unusual. But this is by no means something that doesn't happen in the UK - cold winters with lots of snow used to be quite common earlier in the 20th century.

Normally I'd be happier with the snow, but I'm going to Manchester for an uber-cool gig on Friday, and home to Reading on Saturday. I'm really worried that the trains will stop, or the gig will be cancelled - as is the way with Britain and any amount of snow

We're really not used to this, despite it being our heritage.

It was snowing a tiny bit when I got out of class today. It was tiny white specks few and far between, but I could see it was snow.

This excites me a whole lot!

It snowed a bit earlier today while we were waiting for the bus.

Too bad I didn't take a picture of the snow flying around with my Minolta.

No snow on the horizon here in the next few days, but there does look to be rain on Thursday or Friday. Better that than snow, if you ask me. Even if water does turn to ice.

Welp, that's the most snow I've ever seen. We've had another 3-4 inches last night, almost a foot of snow outside in total. All buses have been cancelled. All trains to Leeds, Nottingham, Rotherham and Manchester have been cancelled. Trams, as ever, are immortal - which means I go to work.

I'll try to get some photos.
