And the insides of my cheeks are so raw and swollen that they're pushing on the incision site and causing a tremendous amount of pain. I'm trying to go without vicadin today because I need to focus on homework, but man... this is crap. Just looking forward to a few weeks from now, when I'll be back to normal. Mmmm, thanksgiving...
From what I've been hearing, I guess I just got really lucky/had a really good dentist for my wisdom teeth removal... I didn't have any complications (permanent numb spots, excessive swelling, etc.), and I was able to eat fairly normal foods within a week of the surgery.
Boy did I eat a lot of applesauce and fish sticks for that week, though...

Metal_Man88's Post
Hooray! The money is gone, the houses are going, and I have nowhere to live in a few months!

Why am I so happy, you say? Because my father's insane alternate-reality will crash down first, karmic revenge I've waited for for 21 years! I couldn't be happier, even though it is indeed terrible.

*Metal_Man88 casually thinks on where to move to next, although the tricky part is affording anything with the kind of job he could get...

This November looks like it's going to be living hell for me, mostly due to my job. We're having a sub sale all month which that alone equals hell. Last sub sale we had, I nearly quit. It's nothing but pure stress from beginning to end, and a lot of stuff happens that you just have to be there in order to believe. Nerves are shot, and a lot of people end up quitting during this time.

Now on top of this, we have this dumbass representative from corporate here all month who thinks that fucking health code violations should be store policy. I'm dead serious! I could be here all day talking about this guy, but suffice it to say he has no idea what he is talking about, and he just likes making a bunch of random rules. Officially, he's supposed to be "training," "getting the store in order," and "enforcing corporate policy". But we actually have a copy of corporate policy, and he tells us to do things that completely go AGAINST what corporate wants us to do. We even show him exactly what his boss sent us, physical fucking proof that he is full of shit, and he responds with something stupid like "oh that's ancient" or "that must be a franchise thing" even when those things have no relevance to the conversation whatsoever. I just hope this douche sticks around long enough to actually have to DO this stupid bullshit he keeps telling us, so he can actually see it all blow up in his face.

Oh, and here's the main thing that proves he's a dumbass. He's trying to say that an obvious health code violation is corporate policy. Basically, all roast must be cooked to 143 degrees. We have an oven that has a thermometer probe plugged in to each roast to ensure that all roasts are cooked to 143 degrees. Apparently, these probes confuse him. He doesn't grasp the concept that the beef are going to finish cooking at different times. Every time one roast is done, even though the others may need another half hour or so to finish cooking, he wants to know why we don't pull them all out and start serving them. Uh, maybe because they are fucking RAW! His defense is that at all corporate owned stores, they just stick one old ass thermometer in one of the roasts, and if that one is at 143 degrees, they just assume that all of them are, without even checking the temperature of the rest. I know for a fact that since these roasts all go in at different times, some could need as much as an extra 2 hours to cook which is why we use the damn probes! Fucking gross. And this is the sort of meat that you don't want to eat medium rare either unless you think that bloody bologna makes a good sandwich that you would pay $5 for. I fucking hate fast food.

I'd tell him to go ahead and do that with the roasts. Then watch customers come in and bitch to the manager about the poor quality of the roast or their recent 14-hour stay in the hospital waiting room.

Hey, if you *want* that to be policy...

Paulguy's Post configuration
It's starting to get chilly here. There was frost on the ground yesterday in the morning. We'll probably start getting snow within the month.

Also, you people take so long to heal. I healed super quick, and was able to eat normal food maybe a few hours after the surgery, and I had 5 teeth removed. :p It hurt a bit if I wasn't careful but it wasn't awful or anything, though my pain response is weird as hell. Sometimes I'm very sensitive to pain and sometimes I don't feel it very much at all. Weird.

I got silver caps on some teeth when I was younger, and my tongue would feel "asleep" for a few hours and I usually didn't feel like doing anything other than napping (and I'd rarely nap in those days).

Oh believe me, this is how we've treated about everything he's done so far. "Oh you don't believe that this is impossible? That's ok. You get to run shit tonight and see exactly how bad everything's going to fuck up!" The beef is one thing we are absolutely REFUSING to do though, and I think he knows he's losing the battle. It's actually been kind of entertaining with everyone against him. Even the owners!
