If you miss surge, watch this. Also Vault is the exact same drink.

Yeah, over 5-6 things I forget now were discontinued there. Every time I ask them about them, they just say they are being 'reformulated.'

Yeah right.

My own response is Surge. You know, Coke's answer to Mountain Dew.

I remember trying it ONCE when my mom brought back a bottle from the States. It was... decent. Not great but not horrible either.

Of course, Canada completely defeats the point of Mountain Dew. NO CAFFEINE.

I didn't even realize they stopped producing Alphabits...one of those things I never really ate as a kid but the commercials are huge memories for me growing up. Kind never even realized they weren't around any more.

Hidden Treasures cereal. It had some weird ass cartoon robot for a mascot. Awesome cereal though. Haven't eaten it since I was a kid. =\

This thread also reminds me of some Simpsons-branded pop I tried once. Had a few different flavours. The orange was pretty good (probably just loaded with sugar, but not as tangy as brand name stuff) but the rest was just awful.

Stupid name, but it was essentially oreos that are shaped like cheerios.

They also got rid of Santa Fe flavor Chalupas, which I miss. I still don't know why they did, though...

I was never a fan of the Santa Fe flavor. I still get baja every now and then though. What I really miss from Taco Bell was the 7-layer crunch wrap. Don't know what was in that thing, but it was good! The regular crunch wrap just tastes like bleh to me. Also I hate how their nachos have practically nothing on them now when they used to have like 7 toppings.

The odd thing is they both taste the same to me, sort of. The Santa Fe just tasted a little bit better.

Coffee-flavored Oreos. Actually it was coffee/chocolate or some mix like that, they were around for a few months here. More like a mocha taste.

Candy/Snacks

Crispy M&Ms: Discontinuing these was a HUGE mistake. That's all I can say. The character (the scared-looking orange dude) is still around, but I don't know what variety he represents anymore.

Velamints Chocolate Mints: Cocoa powder, sugar, and a hint of mint compessed into a lozenge. I always had a tin of these on hand when they were still available. Sooooo gooooooood...

Wonka candies, pre-Nestle takeover: Not technically discontinued, but I HATE Nestle for what they've done to a lot of the classic Wonka candies. Runts are full of disgusting "tropical" and just plain unidentifiable flavors (what's this purple football supposed to be?), Sprees got reformulated and have a weird chemical aftertaste, Gobstoppers lost several layers and shrunk to miniscule proportions, Rainbow Nerds dropped a bunch of flavors and colors, Tart n' Tinys got that same glossy sugar coating that the rest of their candies have, and virtually every green-colored candy they offer is now that disgusting "Green Apple" flavor. AND THEY PUT THOSE CREEPY DEFORMED OOMPA-LOOMPAS ON EVERYTHING.

Nacho Cheese Corn Nuts: Again, not discontinued, but it seems those bastards at Kraft completely changed the formula, probably to cut costs. There's not a hint of cheese to be found in the ingredients, but there are now THREE separate "flavor enhancers" and a bunch of artificial flavors and colors. I made the mistake of buying a bag today, and they just tasted wrong. Gave me a nasty headache, too.

Of course, these are the same douchebags that sell "Guacamole" made without avocados, so I'm not really surprised.

Tony's Cheeseburger...pocket things: I don't remember exactly what they were called, but they were Tony's version of Hot Pockets. They sold a Cheeseburger flavor that was basically chunks of ground beef in a mustard and ketchup-flavored cheese sauce. SO GOOD.

Their Philly Cheesesteak flavor was pretty awesome as well. Too bad the whole line was discontinued.

Fast Food

McDonald's Arch Deluxe: The best friggin' burger they ever made, it had a higher-quality bun, bacon, and some kind of delicious pepper mayonnaise sauce. I guess it was a failed attempt to cater to adult tastes?

McDonald's Big n' Tasty: Formerly called the "Big Xtra," it was the only burger on their menu to feature actual lettuce leaves, tomatoes, and mayo, as well as a special beef patty with extra spices added. (I'm not 100% sure this one has been completely discontinued, I just know that I wasn't able to get one at my local McD's a couple months ago.)

Wendy's Monthly Special Burgers: Especially the Bacon Mushroom Melt. Good Lord, do I miss that burger. Whoever killed off this idea and dropped the Big Bacon Classic in favor of the "Baconator" ought to be bludgeoned with Dave Thomas's tombstone.

You can still get it in Texas! It's referred to as "Dublin Dr. Pepper" and is produced by the very first Dr. Pepper bottling plant, located in Dublin, Texas. AFAIK, they do ship it nationwide, but I'm pretty sure it's expensive.

What? They didn't discontinue the Code Red version of Mountain Dew, did they? I'm going to have to start stockpiling those 2-liter bottles, whenever I find them (still see them every now and then)...

It's probably sad that I can't remember what Pepsi Blue tasted like (or even that mediocre Safeway clone), but CAN remember what 7up Gold tasted like.

...well, I did like the grape Mountain Dew they had, a handful of years ago. I think they tied it in at one point with Star Wars and Darth Vader.

I haven't had any issues finding it around the Philadelphia area. Seems like it's also another one of those things that's more common some places than others.

It is, and it isn't. My friend who was in Texas could buy it locally in normal containers for $4 a 12-pack. Getting the only one they usually sell abroad imported costs more like $4 A BOTTLE.

And at least to me, it doesn't taste different enough to warrant more than $4 plus shipping.
