I never had a land line while I was residence the past three years but used my cell phone a lot, and while I am here in Sydney taking Applied Communication Arts, I usually end up switching between my cell phone and my grandmother's land line, mostly if someone calls and wants to talk to me, or my grandmother and grandfather aren't home and someone calls. ____________________ |

I have a landline simply because it comes with Internet access. It also happens to be a flatrate meaning I can call any national number and if it's not a premium-rate service it won't cost me anything. ____________________ |

We use the phone lines for everything here, cause well SaskTel uses them for TV, internet, phone, etc. ____________________ And that's the way it was. |

Paulguy's Post configuration I have a cell phone, and we used to have a data-only land line for DSL, but we switched to cable internet, so we don't have any phone line, unless I guess we needed to call 911 and didn't have a cell phone. ____________________ |
