So this morning I saw a dog running down the street with a collar and leash attached to it. As it got closer, I noticed that nobody was following it. I followed it in my car for 30 feet and it had a dog tag so I figured I would get out and check the tag. Well, the dog didn't really want anything to do with me. I followed it for a while on foot and it would stop and look at me from a distance but then kept on going. I moved ahead of it in my car and tried from the other direction, no luck. It just turned around and trotted off in the other direction.

Hopefully it finds its way home. So have you ever help find a lost animal or lost one of your own for it to be found and returned?

We had a cat that got lost while we were moving from Oklahoma to California. He got out of the tent in the night and we couldn't find him in the morning and we had to keep going. His name was Simba and he was an orange tabby. It broke my heart, I was only 13 at the time. Every time we pass that part off the highway when going to California I think of him.

And one other time I found 2 big dogs on the side of the road and then they were running through traffic. These guys were super friendly and let me put them in the car so they wouldn't get hit by the traffic. They had tags so I pulled up the address on my phone's GPS and returned him. Turned out they got out because the teenagers of the house left the gate open...

My black lab got lose one day. So my dad got in the car to catch him and I was on my bike. I had to ditch the bike and go on foot to grab him.

Had a cat that ran away. About a month or so later I found him on the other side of the trailer park, across the street from a friend's trailer.

Paulguy's Post configuration
When I was really young we had a cat that got out... I had to have been 6 or 7 at the time. My grandma was moving or something and someone left the front door open and they didn't have glass or a screen in the storm door so it just hopped out through that...

About a year ago, my sister was out on vacation and I was staying somewhere so we had some family house sitting... mostly just checking on the house every day. They let one of the cats out, I guess, so it was missing when we got back.

A couple weeks ago one of our current cats got curious about the outside for a few hours, but came back, which was nice. I suppose that means he likes it here... or that we have food. :p

When I was ten years old our cat managed to pull the screen out of our kitchen window and escape. She was gone for about a month before wandering back through front door that we'd leave open for just that purpose. As it turned out, she enjoyed here sojourn a bit too much, seeing as she came back pregnant.

A few months later we had an extra four mouths to feed. Then it became six when our backyard was deemed suitable for living by a pair of stray cats.

This is not that interesting but sometimes my friends dog gets out when I am over and we end up chasing it. He got to my other friends house and hung out with the horses over there.

One of my mom's kitties is a stray. There was this adorable tortoiseshell kitten outside one cold December day.
