Some people have mentioned low activity here as of late. How low does Jul's activity have to get before you'll consider a day inactive?

For me, I'd say 150 posts. Days with fewer posts than that tend to feel inactive to me. Days much higher than that tend to feel more active, at least.

If there's less than 100 posts before noon, its not a good sign. I would say < 125 (give or take 5) would be low. Thats most weekends for the past few months. But hey, its kind of a slow time news wise, weather wise, game wise, tech wise. There's really not much happening out there that's worth discussing on Jul. Holidays are coming up and that brings some boosted activity along with lower activity on the actual days (such as Thanksgiving and Christmas). And so many people are actually busy with school rather than just being at school.

Maybe then we get an "unbonus day", where only #1 gets points, and only 4 points

I've been to smaller boards that tried to have posting competitions, and sometimes not enough people would post enough to rank. Like a Top 5 on a day with 3 posts.

Less than 100 would be DEAD.

I consider inactive to be anywhere below 200... especially if a large chunk of those were made after midnight. There's been days where we have 50 posts a hour or two after midnight and less than 100 the rest of the way.

Deppends on the surrounding activity.

Right now, 100 is an slow day, 200 is an active day. 300 would be an spree.

Not long ago, less than 200 was an slow day, and sprees were way beyond 400.
