Looks good, even though they had to cram in the most boring games so you had to see them when scrolling down to the good ones.

That was "we've pretty much stopped making GBA games since 2006, it's time to move on." I don't like it, but I don't blame them.

I'll be honest, I'm tired of people complaining about backwards compatibility.

Be it PS3 (yeah, they stopped supporting a 10 years old console. Deal with it) or the DSi (ono, it isn't supporting a 9 years old handheld)

Seriously. Hardware doesn't work that way. Architechture for each consoles (including handhelds) change so much between generations, that to support an older system you have to:
- Include the hardware for it (expensive, makes the system bigger)
- Emulate (like current versions of the PS3).

Both options aren't too great, really.

On the subject of that, there's the possibility that the successor to the Wii could not support Gamecube games. Since I never get rid of old consoles when the successor comes out, I won't mind too much, but be prepared for that.



I should really try the Shantae games. I'm always mesmerized by that animated gif someone used.

This would make sense if it wasn't for the fact that

a) Some DS games used the GBA port for certain features
b) the DS is basically a GBA with another screen and processor glued on

(Hell, the DSi still is too, afaik. Just without the slot, now.)

I thing about the DSi is, even though the GBA is not supported anymore, there are flashcarts to emulate the GBA, but that still doesn't solve the problem with not being able to use the add-ons that used slot 2.

The gba slot had some very creative possibilities,
it's a shame nobody really took advantage of it


but then again,
the lite's smaller slot kinda screwed things up anyways
