| Well... Lately i've been working in NSMB Editor 4 DS. Right now, it's capable of doing very basic editing. You're able to move, resize, clone objects, move, clone and change sprite type. And of course, it can save. If you want to test it out, here it is: http://www.mediafire.com/?78w8rtyt856o9ty Instructions: - Unzip it into the ROOT of the microSD card. - DLDI patch the editor if needed. - Place a US ROM named nsmb.nds on the ROOT of the microSD card. - Boot nsmb-editor-ds.nds - Edit whatever you want. - Boot nsmb.nds and play the edited level. Planned features before first final release: - Complete level editing. Including object number, sprite data, entrances, views, zones, paths, level settings. - Minimap on the top screen. - If i ever get around the DS' video hardware restrictions, zooming. Planned features for much later: - Tileset editor? - Integration with NSMB itself: open NSMB, play a level, and then hit Start+Select to edit it. Then you edit it, save it and play the level instantly without having to even reboot the ds. (yes, I think it's possible. I have it half done) IMPORTANT: I WANT bug reports and suggestions. Specially suggestions on how to improve the UI. |
