Well, I was just playing a Shindou (spelling?) version of super mario 64. I noticed that in this japanese version, the differences are:
title logo says (copyright logo) 1995/1996
Mario has higher sounding voices, along with one new voice when he jumps

I found the yoshi egg in super mario 64 DS (what they where going to make super mario 64)
play as yoshi swallow a enemy dont spit out yoshi makes a egg to throw at them

Maybe that was going to be an ability for when you were riding yoshi (like on Super Mario Sunshine) (if that was ever planned). Maybe they decided to bring it back for the DS version.

Also I just noticed that the pedistals in the mirror room in SM64 are empty (the room where you enter snowman's land, upper floor of castle) whereas in SM64DS, they have a powerup so you can go through the mirror to get a star, and the key for Wario.

They must have done this because in the original game the reflection is made up of actual 3d space and maybe thought "why have this 3d space for just a reflection". 3D space + 3 more characters = A Re-make extra, if you see what i mean.

humm... nice! i like the beta 3rd jump of mario, i will see if i can make a code for it...

EDIT: my code looks like a crasher of games lol... but i find sothing look this:

There is no way to play the Beta Version of SM64 or any other Beta game. These are test versions on computers hidden away in the company building. No roms exists because the game was never released.

well if there isnt a yoshi egg. just copy a mushroom and change the graphic. i know pretty crappy egg but hey. its an egg im new to modding but i mod halo 2 more then ever. im sick of it. i dont know if its possible but ill look into it

Also. While, yes, one could change the texture of a 1up Mushroom to a Yoshi Egg, its behavior still remains and will still give one an extra life.
