What is your current or most common sleep schedule. People my age (17-21 years old) are supposed to get at least 10 hours of sleep. I usually go to bed at midnight and wake up around 9 so I get roughly 9 hours. I usually don't stay up too late because I love sleeping more than I like eating. My dreamscape is much more fun than real life

Also, what helps you go to sleep?

I want to go to bed around 10pm but that never happens. The past few weeks we've been up until midnight before getting in bed. I wake up at 6am every week day for work so I get 6 or less hours of sleep most nights. Weekends I can sleep in until 8am or so but I'm up after midnight most of the time anyway so I don't catch up on that much sleep.

Paulguy's Post configuration
No schedule, it's pretty much free-running with no sync. Tends to be around 25-27 hour cycles. When I do sleep, it's about 6-10 hours, tending towards 8 usually.

I tend to go to bed at like 2 in the morning and get up whenever, usually between 10 and noon.

I've done this in 3 time zones so far, so I guess it's just what my body prefers to do.

What job do you have that allows you to be that liberal with your sleep? O.o

I'm unemployed, actually

Before, I was a college student and part-time tutor who could usually schedule stuff later.

I have a really bad sleep schedule, if any at all. I try to sleep at night but I've been waking up after an hour, so I'm pretty much just napping through the week. I don't feel too tired or anything and I hit REM so I guess it's not too harmful, but I really want to go back to sleeping 8 hours.

Go to bed around 3-4 AM. Wake up around 10-10:30 AM on work days, 11-11:30 AM on days off.

I'm a night owl.

I have no sleep schedule. I go to bed when I'm tired.

Or IF I'm tired

It's gotten a lot more specific now (vs. my old SLEEP TILL 2 OR 3. WAKE UP AT 11. thing)...

Sundays and Tuesdays: around midnight
Mondays and Wednesdays: around 1am

so maybe not that specific but it requires me to think

Next semester, I'll make sure I don't get this alternating pattern...

Go to bed ranging between 2-4 AM, get up 11-1 PM. I generally don't care for mornings.

Schedule? Hahaha... There is no such thing as a schedule when you're a parent. I should have been in bed five hours ago, but here I am, wide awake after tending to my daughter, listening to music and doing some writing.

Usually I sleep whenever I need it. Sometimes that means getting a decent night's sleep, or just crashing in the middle of the day and falling over. I seem to have a natural clock that prevents me from sleeping past 1 PM, no matter how long I've been awake and asleep before that. :|

I am such a wreck...

Huh. That's kinda weird.

But anyway, I go to bed at around 11 or 12 at night and wake up at 7 in the morning when I have school. Weekends, I'll go to bed and wake up later.

Where did you get that 10 hour thing?

I think it's more like, adults should get 7-8 hours (although the average is less, at least in the USA), but less as they grow older and elderly people only need 6. Growing children should get 10-12 hours (more if they're really young) and as they approach adulthood, their needed amount of sleep decreases to around 8.

I usually go to bed around 2-3 in the morning and wake up around 11-Noon.

Although this is going to have to change come substitute teaching calls, as they call around 5 A.M.
