I'm operating on 4 hours of sleep that ended at 10pm last night. Plus, college doesn't start for another 3 hours (9:00) and I don't get to leave until 4pm.

My college's computer science department tended to schedule only evening classes, which ended (and sometimes even started) after bus service on Ten Mile Road ended. Way to screw over people who don't have cars Not only that, but I had to take other classes like physics that tended to only meet in the mornings, so some semesters I had really long, spread-out days.

Once I was locked out of being able to register for the next semester because of some bizarre payment issue involving my having dropped 2 classes. A class I wanted was filling up fast and I didn't want to be stuck with the Saturday section and have to go to class 6 days a week. I ended up squeezing myself into the Monday/Wednesday class, thankfully

College timetables are annoying. I wanted to take Biology, Chemistry, Physics and ICT but ICT clashed with Chemistry. I dropped ICT and took Ethics & Philosophy, which is awesome. Except that next year, Ethics & Philosophy clashes with Biology! Argh!

My school liked having Monday-Wednesday-Thursday-Friday classes, so a few semesters I ended up with the weird schedule of having Tuesdays as my day off.

Protip: Always get an appropriate amount of sleep at night. I tend to sleep somewhere around 7 and 8 hours for my sake, because I seriously can't wake up in the morning unless I have slept about that much.

Of course during the weekends I sleep as much as I want so yeah.

(And I say can't as in I have a strange inability to hear my alarm clock if I'm not ready to wake up, so ironically with this system I wake up before my alarm goes off, then kind of sleep in a little until it does, trying hard not to fall asleep accidentally.)

M-TH for me. Mondays-Wednesdays go from 11:40 to 1, and Thuesday-Thursdays from 1:00 to 6:30. I don't like morning classes, so I skip them entirely. I only take afternoon-evening classes.

But my professor for my MW class literally died, and I was taking it based on it being taught by that professor, so I may have one less class due to that morbid event...

My suggestion is to take early classes if you are able to make your own schedule. If you do that then the afternoon and evenings are open for you so you can actually do shit instead of being stuck in class. As for networking, I would join a club. They are a great way of meeting new people and are full of insane fun. Also, lock your door at all times. Drunk people can be pretty disturbing in the dorms. Oh and make sure you talk to your roommate about ground rules and stuff. No one likes a roommate asleep in your now piss stained bed.

You don't. They make it up before enrolment starts. Although, I'm pleased with mine. I don't go in until 10:45 on a Monday, I get third off on a Tuesday and I can come home from 10:15-1:00 on a Wednesday

Yeah. They make up the schedule for every class in the year. You choose the classes that you're going to take and then find out when they are on. That becomes your schedule.

Problem is, this year, ICT and Chemistry clashed so I could only take Chemistry instead of both. I took Ethics to replace ICT and next year Ethics clashes with Biology! How's that for crap?

In case it wasn't completely clear, it works like this:

-Zone 1-|-Zone 2-|-Zone 3-|-Zone 4-|
Biology |Chemistry |Physics |Business
ICT |Media |Law |English
Law |History |Religion |Math

If I wanted to take Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Media, I wouldn't be able to because Chemistry and Media are in the same zone. They will always be with each other. In that event, I'd drop one and either pick 1 from Zone 4, or just have 3 A-Levels instead of 4.

My old campus housing had a policy that everyone try to leave their doors open as much as possible. Ugh, I didn't follow that idiocy.

Is that "Religion" class like learning about different world religions, or is it like 1 of those "Christianity (or whatever) is absolutely correct and we will teach Christian beliefs as fact" deals?

I don't take Religion, but I very much doubt it. Especially considering that in Ethics & Philosophy there is a large amount of questioning gods.

Well, the students made their own policies, and I guess they liked the whole hippie commune thing and the constant parties. Me, I was an only child raised by 2 overprotective introverts used to quiet surroundings, so I didn't take to that very well.
