Paulguy's Post configuration I use message boards a lot but I don't usually have great conversations on them. Mostly just respond to question threads like this or responses to people's problems with whatever computer related thing, usually.
I use IRC a lot, and talk way too much. I use instant messaging quite a bit, any conversation with real life friends is through this. I also use the Facebook IM through XMPP, but I rarely use the facebook site directly. I also meow on most of these forms of communication. I voted other because I often communicate through text chat in games with people. I hate voice and video forms of communication. I don't like how I sound and it's much more comfortable to type what I want to say than to speak it. ____________________ |

| I'd say message boards. They're still my favorite means of communication online, but unfortunately they've kind of lost their magic as soon as 'social networks' came into the picture. I use MSN and AIM too, the latter not so much. |

Instant Messenger Message Boards In order of most preferred to least. IRC is the easiest to keep a conversation going, and more people can get into a conversation without the need to start a group chat. The thing I prefer least is PMs on message boards. Over the course of up to a week I could have a conversation in an hour in a more "instant" way of sending messages which is pretty annoying. I've used social networking sites in the past, but I hardly did any socializing on them and I never did any networking. I found people ready to spill every detail of their lives and I couldn't agree with that. ____________________

I always liked them ever since I started posting at boards, pretty much. I also like any type of live chat like AIM or IRC that involves typing 
I never felt comfortable with Skype. I also am not a fan of stuff like Facebook, although I use Twitter occasionally.
If anybody knows of a way to fix that, let me know.
