So, what is your favorite brand of batteries? I just buy whatever's on sale, usually... I have some Russian batteries (I think... not sure where Camelion is from), and a whole bunch of Duracell alkalines and rechargeables. I also have some Rayovac rechargeable AAA batteries, and some generic NiMH batteries (not sure if they're really the mAh listed on the battery, but so far they've been lasting in MP3 speaker dock xP)

So, I'd have to say Duracell is my favorite brand of batteries (for both rechargeable and alkaline) =P

I'd go with Rayovac. I usually buy things based on price, not quality or name.

I typically buy whatever is cheapest, but when I want something specific for electronic devices or rechargeable, I buy Energizer. I've had the best experience with Energizer's lithium batteries compared to the other brands.

Duracells. Any other batteries we had seemed to drain a lot faster than we would have liked.

I guess Duracell. Dunno why. Never had any problems with them.

I'll go with any battery that doesn't have a bunch of Chinese writing on it. Seriously, two of those batteries were included with my Wii fresh out of the box.

Probably those cheapo carbon-zinc/zinc-chloride (so-called "heavy duty") batteries... they always seem to come with just about every device that is shipped with batteries =/

Yeah, I couldn't believe they were using... those.

Granted, I think they lasted about 20-25 hours (playing time) before I ended up getting rechargeable batteries for the Wii. But still.

And in totally randomized combinations. I don't think a green colored battery and a silver colored battery are the same batteries. :|

At least mine were the same color.

Not sure if they were the same brand as I didn't bother trying to match up the Chinese characters. But same color at least. That's generally a good sign.

Duracell also has a bunny, but in Europe and Asia only. =P

Anyway, I think pretty much all carbon-zinc batteries sold today are actually the zinc-chloride variety. But they still suck anyway xP

I rarely ever need batteries, but as these are only for remote controls or my radio clock (which doesn't synchronize anymore. It still runs fine, if you set the time manually), I just go with cheap ones.
If I needed more powerful ones, I would just stick with rechargeable ones.

Otherwise my MP3 player, as a potential device which needs power regularly, has an in-built rechargable battery. As it was not too expensive I don't blame it, when the life capacity is down some day. Then I'll simply either get a new battery or, better, simply buy a new MP3 player.

Paulguy's Post configuration
I got some pretty good Energizer rechargeable AAs that last pretty long. I lost the charger, though, and haven't needed replacement AAs since.

I alsu use Duracell or Rayovac or Eveready. Doesn't really matter, unless they're the cheapo kind. I got some Dollar General brand batteries once and they felt hollow...

Duracell. They last for ages in everything and the shops always seem to have a special deal on them so I can get 2 8-packs for about £10.

Actually, it does seem as if fewer devices need batteries now compared to, say, the 1990s. Probably because more devices use rechargeable batteries. Right now, I have a digital camera that uses 2 AA batteries and an alarm clock that needs 1 AAA, and that's all that I can think of

Seriously, if I am at the store and realize I need batteries for one of my mice, which is really all I use batteries for anyway, I just grab an eight pack of AAs of whatever brand is nearest, and then I generally don't need to buy new batteries again for over a year.

How creative.

Duracell seems to last quite a while for me. I use cheaper ones in remotes though because they still last years. I wish more things still used AAs and AAAs and 9Vs though instead of proprietary batteries. Standardization plz. (But standardization doesn't allow for vendor lock-in... )

Seriously does anything even use 9V anymore other than smoke detectors?
