In a few hours, I will be heading down to Stockton to attend medical school It's a two-day thing and the only people who are allowed to go are the people who joined the William Harvey medical project.

Anybody else going somewhere?

We drove to Manassas, Virgina from Florida and back in two days and that wasn't really fun.

Be safe! I've had many a road trip in my life, some as long as 2,500 miles! They can be fun if you keep yourself active. If you're the driver, it makes it go faster. Or at least seems that way.

Eventually I'd like to visit San Francisco, Vancouver, and some other places. Not by car though

When I was really young, my parents took me all the way to Montana and Wyoming, of all places, by car. They ran out of fuel somewhere in North Dakota (or South Dakota?).

We also went to St. Louis and Jamestown in 2004.

For one of the trips, we actually left out the middle seat of our Ford Van and put a TV and N64 in its place. We had about 10 games with us and never had a dull moment. My parent's would say "Oh look at that landmark such and such" and my brother and I would be like "Yeah, great..." back to the games.

Trips I've taken on my own include my study abroad in Germany in 2008, but my parents picked me up from that and took me to Paris, and my trip to Seattle in 2009 when I still lived in Detroit. And I guess my move to Seattle could also count in there, as well

We used to drive 12 hours at a time from New Jersey to Michigan to see the relatives, once a year. Pennsylvania might not be that long on the map, but it sure takes forever to drive through it!

Especially that 1 time when there was construction and they pretty much closed every rest area on the Pennsylvania Turnpike

I'm back! And it was awesome! The first session was just ice-breaking, which was actually kinda fun. Then we had to draw the outline of one person in our group of four. The person we got to draw decided to draw around EVERYTHING, so it looked like a medical experiment gone wrong. We then had to label all of the parts of the body that were read out. We got all but one right; the calcanium, which is in the foot, not a tooth. My team seemed to be impressed by my anatomical knowledge. We also won Then it was a session on handing out money to cases with things like replacing a limb, replacing a hip or an experimental cancer drug, the types of difficult things that have to be decided on. There were also four doctors that came in who answered all of our questions. Then we watched Kickass in a huge lecture hall. I recommend you see it if you haven't already Then we had to build an anatomically correct skeleton using straws, wire, sellotape, scissors, two balloons and a paper plate. To say they were deformed is putting it nicely. There was also a quiz on history, science, general knowledge, sport and music. Then we had to go back to our rooms or to the kitchen, where the luckiest shot ever happened. Somebody flicked a spoon off the edge of the table, hit the ONLY spider on the wall and then the spoon landed in a cup of coffee. Then the night ended by us listening to Jizz In My Pants.

Then next day was more practical, where we learned about the arm and the different veins and arteries that run through it. We were also shown how to remove blood from an arm, although I've already done this. It didn't excactly work because we couldn't get the blood to stay in the fake arm Then we had a session where we went to different tables and had sheets on the liver, leg and kidneys and we had to answer questions on things like liver function, deep vein thrombosis and kidney stones. Then it was a final ceremony and home

It also turns out that I'm lethal with a Frizbee.

That's a really interesting 2 day class. Was this just a demo to see if you will go to that school or something? Kind of a wide variety of stuff going on.

Yeah, something like that. I've had one at York University and Edinburgh University too, although they weren't completely science based.
