I know I told myself I wouldn't yet, but I poked around some SMG2 models. The only thing of interest I've managed to find is that Elite Octoomba (TakoSho) has some .BRK files named "RedToBlue", "RedToGreen", "RedToGreenShort", "GreenToRed", and "BlueToRed". I know they glow reddish when preparing an attack, but... when do they turn blue? I checked the normal Octoomba (Takobo) and it doesn't have all the same files, so there goes that theory. Oh yeah, and he has an animation for... being pulled by his antenna?

Edit: Octoomba has the same Pull animations... maybe it's a strange name for something else?

I'm not sure, but this animation certainly isn't it. There's no way they'd animate his wobbling backwards after the pull is let go.


Also, made a small discovery in SMG1 while playing. One of the unused Relay Planets actually IS used, but only shrunk down and as a decoration in Toy Time. Still, it's unused in the main sense.

Edit: Say, if anyone can figure out getting Anarchy in the Galaxy to work without making the game crash, could someone try swapping in any of those unused enemies? It would be great to see if any of them still work.

I cant really get anarchy to do anything... I ended up using a hex editor, I was able to swap the good eggs, but didnt post any pics seeing as though it's already been done, i just wanted to see if i was capable. And does anybody think you could maybe get SMG1 planets in SMG2 by changing the files in objdata with wiiscrubber?

We should really try and get in touch with the creator of Anarchy. That way we can pester him with our requests ask for his assistance.


Edit: Small SMG2 discovery. The outer shell of the main Sky Fleet planet has an unused low model, consisting of a tiny white cube. The model is named BarrelColonyOuterPlanetLow.


Edit: Better discovery. Know the Balloon Fruit? I found this as one of its textures.


Edit: Potentially unused model, but nothing exciting. There's a copy of the rolling stone enemies from Slipsand Galaxy under the name GorogoroAlpha. The only way it differs from the regular model (Gorogoro) is the lack of environment and specular textures, as well as a lot less associated files and no actual animations. The exact thing applies to GorogoroPairAlpha.

This isn't really related to Galaxy per se, but it's the best place I figured it would fit.


Does anyone remember how to get inside Eely-Mouth in Super Mario Sunshine? I was never unskilled enough to get sucked into his mouth, but from what I heard, it doesn't show you inside him. Why do I ask? Because his(her? its?) model has the throat and stomach fully modeled out.

hey guys, I got the planet disk working properly by swapping Good egg planet with it, It was done using a weird rarc packer and some hex editing to have a working gravity.

I just tested out Anarchy for the purpose of looking at objects in a map. Is there a way to activate any sort of viewer, or is it pretty much all editing a list of objects right now? Either way, I don't plan on using it to edit levels, but it would be nice to have a visual representation.


Speaking of which, I noticed something odd... it says that in HeavenlyBeachZone, there's a NoteFairy located 11050 units below the planet. What?


Oh, and it seems CutBush is used. It's the clumps of grass you see on planets like Beach Bowl.

Edit: And baby Bonefins in Drip Drop Galaxy?
Edit: A NoteFairy in Throwback Galaxy too!?

Know what's strange? I found yet another NoteFairy, this time in one of the Dusty Dunes zones. I have a feeling NoteFairy is used for... something. Could someone try editing the position of one of these fairies to something accessible and see what it does?


Edit: Know Pole Unizo Planet? There's a PoleUnizoZone. Think you could swap it in for us, Skawo?
Edit: It's an entire zone, so it should have its own gravity. That means it would work anywhere, right?

Check for one in Puzzle Plank Galaxy, iirc it has a note trail too.

Yep, there too. Seems you're onto something. Funny how they would choose DKJB's fairy for this.

Edit: Found another Zone of interest. Seems there is a GlassyTwinsPlanetZone for those twin planets. According to the object list, there are four Goombas, give small crystals, and a Toad. Strangely, it seems both planets are actually scaled up. Planet A is scaled up to 133% and Planet B is at 150%. I wonder how many other planets are naturally scaled up from their models...

Think you could get this one, too, Skawo?
